The Black Death, went after one of the most dangerous animals in the world with a bow. Spot and stalk archery Cape buffalo in the eastern cape of South Africa was everything I thought it would be. This wasn’t some canned hunt, or over bait, or out of a blind. This was pure hunting for something that wants to kill you. We had many close calls on this hunt and a couple moments where we all were in fear for our lives in the bush. Talk about adrenaline! I’ve never experienced a hunt like this before. And left with not just a Cape buffalo bull but a giant at around 42” and probably 2000 lbs. This hunt was as intense as it can be, at one point our tracker was up in a tree to avoid this pissed off buffalo. There’s so much more to the story but that’s the short version! Can’t wait to get a couple more animals on this trip! Thanks to @elitehuntingoutfitters_sa

Looking back on the amazing year this year, had 20 hunting and fishing trips around the globe and still am in shock about the experiences I got to do. This year has made me a firm believer in manifestation, if you put your mind to something and want it bad enough it’s amazing what can happen. I’m really looking forward to what 2026 holds.

This was my favorite experience I got to do this year, hunting with @realkiwihuntingoutfitters and my big bull tahr.

Feeling very blessed and grateful

Absolute beauty of a NZ Red Stag with the bow today. This big old stag was 400”+ with 28 tines! My @ironwilloutfitters wide had a clean pass through. Been feeling very blessed and grateful for these amazing opportunities. I've wanted to hunt Red Stag since I was a child and finally getting to do this was incredible! Huge thanks to @realkiwihuntingoutfitters for making this possible! Can't wait to see what the next few days have in store

Went to the Dream Stream looking for trout. Left wondering how to explain our new koke (kokanee) habit to our families.

Made it back out to SoCal to fly fish for makos with my good friend @conwaybowman, ended up having a tropical storm blow in and mix things up! Got into a smaller mako and jumped him.

Did get to see some phenomenal sunsets before the storm blew in!

Can’t wait to come back!

Couple black and white shots from my last race at Aztec, raced in 2 classes and pulled hole shots on 3 out of 4 of my heats, finished 2nd in both but raced great. Was almost half a lap ahead of 3rd place.

Did some chute dogging in the flying spur rodeo. Didn’t win a belt buckle last night but going back at it next week! These steers are over 600lbs and I’ll say this is some of the most fun I’ve ever had. by @tylerthefisherman

Most days when I take the dogs out back there’s this really nice backlight and while watching them play I keep thinking I’d love to take a picture of that lighting. So today I brought out my camera and took a few shots of Sterling while he was playing with his current favorite toy.
