Run for Covenant House Vancouver ‍💙💛

Hi everyone! UBC KIN GAMES is organizing a running fundraiser to support Covenant House Vancouver, an organization dedicated to helping young people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

For every $5 donated, we will run 1 kilometre! Our goal is to turn every donation into action, challenging ourselves to run further while raising money for an important cause.

With the colder months approaching, we want to make a positive impact on young people in Vancouver who may not have access to safe and stable housing.

Everyone deserves a safe place to sleep, access to basic necessities, and the opportunity to build a better future. Through this fundraiser, we hope to raise awareness about youth homelessness while encouraging others to get involved and make a difference.

Funds raised will go 50% toward Covenant House Vancouver and 50% to UBC KIN GAMES! Helping us raise money to reduce the costs of our conference fees and transportation.

Funds for Covenant house will go towards:

- Safe shelter and housing support for youth experiencing homelessness.
- Food, clothing, and essential necessities to help meet their daily needs.
- Mental health and counselling services to support their well-being.
- Education, employment, and life-skills support to help young people build independent futures.

Whether you donate $5 or $50, every contribution makes a difference.

$5 = 1 km. $25 = 5 km. $100 = 20 km.

Together, let’s turn kilometres into meaningful change for youth in our community.

Thank you for your support! 💛

Donation Period: Nov 4-20
Running Period: Nov 20-Finished

KG 26 flew by too quick… how is it the last day already?! 🥺

Thank you Hailey for a calming, mindful and relaxing session. 🧘‍♀️Following, we fought hard and strategized for wheelchair basketball with ZERO experience. 🏀 Go birds! 🦅 Let’s go both teams! We were put to the test of our academic knowledge in the cash cab.💸🚕 Hunger games was a crazy surprise athletics challenge pull. Congrats to the Dinos and our first years. Quick fit change and glam to the closing ceremonies. ✨Big thanks to the coords, Laurentian Uni for hosting, volunteers, sponsors, photographers, and every team that made this conference possible. We are not worthy. ❤️

DAY 3: The birds FINALLY got a “good” night rest and are FIRED UP for another day of sports, academics and dance. 🔥🔥

Starting off with Kho Kho, followed by motionball with the DINOS 🦖. We were locked for the escape room and fully suited up for flag football in the snow. ☃️☃️ The fit isn’t complete without matching slits tho. 🪒 Some UBC apparels have found it’s new home. Quick transition to night 1+3 fits and flicks of the night. ✨ by @ubckingames

I SAID KAW KAWWW!! The birds have landed on Sudbury grounds JUST in time for opening ceremony. Tumultuous 36 got nothing on us. This day was STACKED but we’re so happy to be surrounded with a bunch of beauties. 🫰 by @ubckingames

UBC KG PRESENTS… The Great Outdoors, Kinesiology Games 2026 recap!

What we originally expected as a beautiful, harmonious 4.5 hrs flight to Toronto then a bus ride with our BEST FRIENDS has turned in a horror story. Tulmultuous 36 and Air Canada still haunts some of us to this day. Nonetheless we are extremely grateful to be able to make it just in time for the opening ceremonies! by @ubckingames

Our brother, sister, family, best friend, we’ve got your back UBCO! xoxo O o O o!!! 📣💙
