Introducing UCM26! 🏎️ Our most advanced car yet. After an awesome launch night on Wednesday, we're incredibly proud to finally share UCM26, a year of hard work designing, building and developing. This year marks a major step forward for the team, with a return to four-wheel drive, an entirely new lightweight pouch cell accumulator and significant developments across the car. We've pushed the boundaries of what we've done before, and can't wait to show what UCM26 is capable of. A huge thank you to everyone who came along on Wednesday to celebrate with us, and to the University of Canterbury and the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering departments for continuing to support the project and providing students with such an incredible opportunity. To our Principal Partner, @rodincarsofficial, thank you for your continued support and for helping us bring our most ambitious designs to life. We're incredibly proud to represent Rodin once again this year. And to all our other sponsors, thank you for believing in the team. Your support makes everything we do possible. Next up, UCM25 heads to Formula Student China in November, before UCM26 takes on Formula SAE Australasia in Adelaide this December. We can't wait to see both cars out on track! #UCM26 #UniversityofCanterbury #RodinCars #FSAE @ucnz @uc_engineering by @ucmotorsport

What does it actually take to build a race car from scratch? 🏎️ For UC Motorsport, it means thousands of hours of work, plenty of problem-solving and a lot of teamwork along the way. After winning Formula SAE Australasia in 2025, the team could’ve stuck with what they knew. Instead, they’ve completely reworked the design for this year’s car. We caught up with the team ahead of the launch of UCM26 on 21 October. We can’t wait to see how they get on! by @ucmotorsport
