In the deep dessert of Jordan I found this couple of trees standing alone on the top of a mountain with beautiful views. Recent studies have shown that trees have a kind of memory and can communicate. In the soft veil of mist near the coast , two trees emerge - worn by time and wind, yet unbroken. They stand as silent witnesses to the delicate dance of life, their roots entwined with the earth’s quiet strength.
In their stillness, a resilience speaks - a reminder that even in fragility, life endures.

Edition print on Japanese handmade paper.

This work was made in the high north of Norway Lofoten. On a hike this majestic part of a mountain appeared , looking so massive and at the at the same time so fragile with its crumpeling surface.
For a brief moment a person rised at the very top and then dissapeared. The shot was that moment.

Part of a upcoming photobook Human Nature project in 2024.

Danish photographer and art director Uffe Raupach seeks in his photographic work the divine in nature and women and their mutual bond.

Where does nature stop and where do we begin ?
What is the essence of nature and how does nature define itself within us?

Raupach has over a period of six years concurrently photographed women expressing their inner nature, then seeking their nature equivalent. In our own relationships with nature, we find the wild sensual nature, peace and clarity, a sense of being part of something greater, of belonging and being accepted, even home. All that we often seek in life, relationships with other people, within ourselves or in love. His hope for the spectator is to reflect on their own relationship with a specific nature, what state of mind these meetings arise in themselves, and within this awareness they will strengthen their bond. Hereby to inspire an awareness of the profound connection of all life forms and the beauty of the natural world. Extending the view of our kinship that sees all lifeforms alike as an essential part of a vibrant, life-generating planetary network.
