Dear UFreshC, On your 8th Birthday, you have no idea what your existence has meant to me. Although you were christened in 2018, your story goes back to 2016. TigerDriverXVI was the original name. I wanted to do photography and I seen some lady create merch for her brand and as a graphic design major at the Art Institute, I said to myself maybe that will help me get more work. It didn’t but what it launched was a passion project for me to hone my craft as a designer. It hasn't always been the easiest journey. When I was jobless and afraid to ask for help in 2019, selling T-Shirts for 3 months was how I ate. I locked myself in my room for 3 months and designed some of the worst shit ever lmao. I still have every single design I've ever made on my computer. I could always see the progression from beginning to where I am now. I never thought of myself as a clothing designer if you will. I never made anything except t-shirts and that's always been okay for me because that's the original reason I started this. I wanted to design things that I would wear, things that other people would feel confident wearing hence UFreshC = You Fresh, See?. For a while I took some time off, and it made me feel like I gave up. A lot of people who've met me recently don't know I have a brand. I'm not the best at marketing haha. I got discouraged, lazy and beat down by my own insecurities. I'm so much better than I've ever given myself credit for. I thank my father every day for being so supportive of me going back to school and my brand in general otherwise I'd given up on that too. I'm blessed beyond measure. I always say the puzzle pieces found me when I was looking for the right fit. Peace by Piece. Special shoutout to @laniworks, @bbybollywood, @sixcellphones and the homie Sky who keeps changing his @, for being so talented and being able to let me trust them with my vision. They're the only people I've outsourced for a design.
