✨Ambassador Spotlight: Caitlyn Ponder, Greece 2026 🐬

Hi, I’m Caitlyn! I’m a Biomedical Physiology major at the University of Georgia with minors in Biology, Infectious Disease, and Pharmaceutical & Biomedical Sciences. Over spring break, I had the opportunity to travel to Greece through Connect Abroad, where I explored the country’s history, culture, and everyday life while experiencing a new part of the world. As a Connect Abroad Ambassador, I’m excited to share highlights from my trip and encourage other students to take advantage of opportunities to learn beyond the classroom.

What’s it really like to spend your Maymester in Thailand? These Connect Abroad Explore students can tell you! 🇹🇭

These moments were captured during this past summer’s Connect Abroad Explore: Thailand program, where first-year students spent two weeks exploring Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket while learning about Thailand’s culture, history, people, and places.

From cooking classes and temple tours to an elephant sanctuary, village homestay, and island adventures, our students experienced Thailand far beyond the classroom and made plenty of memories along the way!

Next summer, Connect Abroad Explore is heading to Northern Ireland! 🇬🇧 Travel alongside fellow first-year students, connect with UGA faculty and staff, and experience hands-on learning through an immersive Maymester designed just for new Dawgs.

Applications are open NOW through September 20!
