The Interdisciplinary Field Program was featured in the Winter 2024 edition of the Georgia magazine! This summer, staff from @universityofga’s marketing team followed us on our cross-country journey to document the program. The 8 page story featured in the magazine showcases the fast-paced adventurous lifestyle that students get to be a part of on their summer with IFP.

From lectures on the side of a mountain to dinners on the beach and some of the best views in the nation- check out the full story by swiping to the last slide for a QR code or clicking the link in our bio! #ifp #uga #domesticfieldstudy #studyaway #getoutside #interdisciplinaryfieldprogram by @uga_ifp

We have officially made it back to the east coast. We cannot believe how fast this summer has gone by! Some final pictures from this year’s IFP. See you next year! by @uga_ifp

Pics from our Mount St. Helens hike! Although this is definitely the hardest hike on IFP’s roster, it’s one of the coolest things we do… who doesn’t want to say they’ve climbed a volcano? This year, all students who attempted the climb made it to the top. WAY TO GO! We are so proud of them! 🌋

Spend a day with IFP in Glacier National Park! There are no “typical” days on our program, but big hiking days are always the students’ favorites… especially in this park! #hiking #travel #outdoors by @uga_ifp

California!! You are always such a treat!! This week we have seen Yosemite, some really cool trees, and the Golden Gate Bridge!

Time is flying by on IFP! This week we wrapped up our time in the southwest by visiting Bryce, Zion, Glen Canyon, and the Robinson cabin! We are now officially in California and enjoying canoe tours and sunsets (in the much needed, cooler climate). 🫶

What a busy week! Students have stayed on their toes as they traveled through Valles Caldera, Bandelier, Acoma, Chaco Canyon, Mesa Verde, AND THE GRAND CANYON! Phew!! We are all thankful for our day off today. Way to go on another week, students!
Honorable mentions go out to our Tombstone movie night and the tarantula hawk that visited us at dinner last night!

IFP week two! We’ve officially made it to the desert 🏜️. This week the students found fossils at Guadalupe Mountains National Park, stopped at their first of many road cuts, and visited the bats at Carlsbad Caverns. Great job hanging in there, students!
