Admitted to hospital.
Waking up with a temperature of 39 wasn’t on our card this morning but following surgery for a central line removal with a high temperature, high heart rate, shakes and ALOT of pain its super important to get her checked over at hospital.
With the risk of sepsis at the forefront here they have taken blood cultures, blood levels, blood gases and got Poppy on IV antibiotics incase this could be an infection in her blood stream.
I’m not entirely surprised of this happening seeing as her port removal yesterday was a tug of war for the surgeon.
We are in the right place with our amazing team and I have no doubt in a matter of days she’ll be up on her feet again. Just a hurdle, that’s all it is. Keeping one foot in front of the other and trusting the process.
