Weโ€™re thrilled to announce The Employment Experiment by Ula Zuhra, the first release from POST Editions. Born from Ulaโ€™s residency at POST Bookshop, this standalone comic from the Aca & Ica universe follows Ica as she fumbles her way into a job at a neighborhood bookshop you might just recognize. Itโ€™s part anti-bookshop-as-healing fiction, part reflection on art and labour, all with Icaโ€™s catastrophic wit. Launching exclusively at @press.print.party, 7โ€“9 November 2025 โ€” then available at POST Bookshop and other independent spaces. by @ulazuhra

Female and not-male individuals adopt an idiosyncratic online gait, moving between borrowed and composed bodies to create communities organised around fiction and fantasy. At the precipice of Web3, or perhaps a post-internet era, these questions take on renewed urgency. The growing economy of AI-generated short-form fiction, or โ€˜AI slop,โ€™ increasingly appropriates the desires and cultural forms cultivated within female and not-male fantasy, fiction, and fan spaces targeting them as a consumer class. This exhibition explores the ongoing role of fantasy and fiction as means through which gendered power structures, otherwise inescapable in lived reality, can find cathartic release through mediation via the composed body. With the proliferation of these authorless fantasy, the composed body risks becoming a de-composed one. by @ulazuhra

#ReadingKIOSKโ€”Groove-Making: Comics as Counter-Archive wraps up its final session today, Sunday, at @kurasuid Gunawarman! ๐Ÿ’ซ Led by @ulazuhra, the three-session workshop explores how comics can function as living archives of everyday survival and resistance, drawing from the artistโ€™s ongoing research between Jakarta and Kyoto. Inspired by Valerie Solanasโ€™ idea of โ€œgrooving in an ungroovy world,โ€ the project looks at how people create meaning and community amid alienating social, cultural, and political structures. Through auto-ethnographic drawing, collaborative workshops, and the translation of slang, humour, and visual language between Indonesian and Japanese contexts, participants develop experimental comics and visual essays documenting these everyday acts of resilience. Following the introduction and initial drawing exercises in July, and a mentorship and Risograph induction session last month, the third and final session brings the participants together to present and share the works they have developed throughout the workshop. Session 3: Final Presentation ๐Ÿ“… Sunday, 20 September 2026 ๐Ÿ•’ 15.00โ€“18.00 ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿซ Facilitated by Ula Zuhra ๐Ÿ“ Reading Room at Kurasu Gunawarman โ€” This is the final session of the series and is closed to existing workshop participants. No new registrations are being accepted for this session. by @ulazuhra
