F. Chopin ❤️

When I first heard this story, I felt deep pain.

Imagine watching the work of your whole life being burned in front of your eyes.

In 1948, the Ukrainian composer Vasyl Barvinsky was arrested for so-called “anti-Soviet activity.”
His students were forced to bring all of his musical scores into the courtyard - years of work and devotion.
They were burned, while he was made to watch.

After ten years in labor camps in Mordovia, he returned physically broken, but not defeated.

Music became his way back to life.
He sat at the piano and began to recreate his works from memory - note by note, phrase by phrase.

Today, we @ukrainian_sounds perform the music of Vasyl Barvinsky with deep respect and responsibility.
Because this is more than just music.
It is memory, strength, and the voice of a culture that someone once tried to silence.
And this voice deserves to be heard.

На жаль, не всі чудові музиканти цього квінтету потрапили в кадр 🎬, але саме завдяки їм 🎻 музика В. Барвінського звучить ще прекрасніше 💫
