Hello and welcome to the UNC Chapter of Lux’s Purpose Foundation! 🩵🤍

Our mission is to bring hope, light, and life-changing support to chronically ill children through highly-trained service dogs!

Our journey began with Asher Lux and Peppa. Today, our newest litter is already training with UNC students, and they’re well on their way to being matched with kids in need!

We’re raising more than just service dogs. We’re building a community that will support children with chronic illnesses and raise awareness about service dog laws, etiquette, and the challenges that afflict their owners.

Please follow along and join us on our journey! 🐾🦴 by @unc.luxspurpose

Bring any old clothes, blankets, towels, rope, or other fabric items you’d like to repurpose into handmade dog toys for our pups! You can also drop off these items at the DDS meeting TOMORROW, Monday October 12 (Chapman Rm 211) if you can’t make it to the event for extra supplies others can use!

Additionally, don’t forget about our ongoing Toy & Treat Donation Drive in collaboration with DDS as well! We’re collecting toys and treats (list on next slide) to support our Lux pups, and donations can be dropped off at the DDS meeting or brought to the event on Tuesday!

*These items can be found at any pet store or Amazon!!
*A lot of these items are also found at TJ MAXX (boccee treats, toys, waste bags, food bowls, etc.)!!

For DDS members, every 5 donated items count toward 1 volunteer hour!
