Found hearts, brain farts and silly existential wordplay. Photos from ordinary life, 'cause change is rubbish but the word fart is still funny. 💜

I like to search for naturally occurring heart shapes in the wild. These found hearts (fhearts) were not created with the intention to be heart shaped, they're just there by happenstance, naturally, waiting to be found. In a way than I cannot explain simply, here, I tend to believe that to some extent you find what you're looking for, focus on or intend to find. When you become open to their existence, you will no doubt begin to find them, too. Thank you to everyone for playing along and sharing your finds with me, each one makes me smile. Keep 'em coming!

The rules are simple - if you find a heart shape that's not intentional - capture it and if you'd like to share with me. ❤️ by @unintentional_fhearts

Would you like to be a Fhearter? Start playing by being open to finding naturally, accidentally occuring heart shapes and see if it does indeed spark little moments of joy. Or maybe it won't. Either way, if you wish, simply submit to me your own photos (or someone elses with their permission) and I will share with the other fhearters, here! Take part enough and gain a special rank like *gross fhearter* or alternately you can share a *silent fheart*, anonymously. Thanks a lot and stay curious! ❤️ by @unintentional_fhearts

Please take note of the broken hearts you see, too, for duality they are as valid and will also be celebrated here. 💔 by @unintentional_fhearts

Heavy metal trousers. Heavy metal horns. And a heart shaped leaf haha.

I love the contrast. Metal never lacked variety. Here it is branching out. Amidst all the aggression and ferociousness, things can be unexpectedly tender. I'm fond of the fierce, proactive anger and the gentleness too.

Absolutely love that you guys think to send me these when you see them. Cracks me up. The little human gift shop in action. Genuinely, thank you. 🤘🖤💛

Untangling is a curious word. Like a youngling, it’s the tiny offspring of an entanglement properly inspected.

I feel pressured to be more visible in ways that somehow leave me feeling less seen. Perform. Strategise. Be desirable. Perhaps sexualise myself for administrative purposes. I don’t even particularly want to play, but somewhere along the way I still picked up the judgey clipboard myself and started wondering if I was doing *being me* wrong. I want to wriggle free of the “shoulds” i didn’t even choose.

I’d rather exist quietly in my wildly unpopular little corner here, disproportionately moved by the little things, ignoring the main quest to investigate a suspicious light emitting from a crack in the bushes.

So I’m trying to untangle the loops and let the shape of what’s to come reveal itself naturally. When i don't let the invisible audience write the script, the gameplay improves.

I wanna take a fucking breath, drop expectation and just meet what is, as it is.

...and of course it'll probably be fine. Haha. ❤️

Thanks for the photo

I am loved, and yet I am deeply lonely.

“What’s wrong with me?” is the corrosive little lie that romantic absence whispers late at night.

Grief has left me so thin skinned for now that even a sharp breeze can leave a mark.

And after years without a single date, the certainty of lonliness has become so familiar that it feels safer than reaching out my hand. There aren't any trapdoors in this room.

It isn’t where I’d choose to stay, and yet I'm exhausted.
My heart needs the rest.

Everything has impact on me.
Meeting someone matters just because it happens.
Might be a lifelong friend or lover. Might know them for a few months or one delightful conversation. Might feel hurt, or loved, or learn something you could have done without learning. None of that makes it meaningless.

In November, I awakened from a dream clearly hearing the phrase *humans are little gift shops to each other*. I wrote it down and it's been fermenting in me since because it captures the benefit and yet the lack of debt.

It has value. It has choice.

I love how we all carry these little peculiar souvenirs that only we can offer another person.
You touched some part of my life that only you could in exactly your way because you were you and I was me haha.

I don't know a more graceful way to say that and believe me I have tried.

Some softer thoughts surrounding this crisp.

We can intellectually know people die, and yet there seems to be this quiet assumption in the background that death belongs to someone else. That there’ll be more conversations, more tea, more jokes, another chance.

*Later* never feels the same again once you have found a loved one dead without warning. The temporary nature of being human becomes impossible to sit in the background.

Nothing stays, and yet some things never leave.

That’s not to say, *nothing lasts, so nothing matters.*

No. For me, it’s more *nothing lasts, so certain things matter enormously while they’re here.*

I'm aware I failed to deliver a crisp joke.

Anyway, I'm glad I have this little space to get some of this stuff out of my head safely. Thanks ❤️ by @unintentional_fhearts

There is no reverse action that restores a dismantling.
Uncertainty invaded the abandonment.
Kept alive by feeding its starvation.

Grief had already split the ground open.
Tenderness might have stopped it widening.
Regard was required where extraction had taken root.

I can only find you in the same dream,
when I am temporarily lost to the waking world.
A reasonably unreasonable familiarity.
As though all that is visible is the surface,
and you are simply somewhere beyond it.

Repeatedly forced to face the agonising reality
of the presence of your absence.
And yet, with each collision,
you are younger and even more radiant.
It turns out you were only sleeping.

Oh, thank God, I declare.
Rushing to stop it.
I thought you’d died.

Every morning I awaken,
and yet, you never do. by @unintentional_fhearts

Heartless, and yet receptive.
Filled with emptiness.
Not only through lack, but through the opportunity that absence forms.

You can eviscerate the core of a thing and still leave behind a beautiful hollow shell.

The harm may create the void, but it is not entitled to the space it leaves behind.

There is dignity in the stillness. What fills that space can be your intentional choice, even when the loudest voice in your head insists otherwise. Space for something new.

Thanks for sharing these with me, I love to see them. The invisible cord between us all is that you guys know i will enjoy them almost as much as I enjoy playing with words trying to conceptualise the imagery.

Sometimes I write a little, sometimes one pepper gets left at the back of my head for Ron. Clanging around for actual weeks before becoming an existential event. Swings and roundabouts, innit.

Appreciate you.

While you were already carrying an unbearable weight, someone who knew still decided that you were safe to use.

Not safe to care for.
Not safe to support.
Not safe to shelter.

Safe to play with.
Safe to use. by @unintentional_fhearts
