What an incredible day at Union Dance Festival. Yet again the talent was through the roof. The dancers kept their energy up throughout the day and performed incredibly for our adjudicator. We are so lucky to have so many incredible dancers in the North East. Wow! Thank you so much to all of the dance teachers, their assistants and their support at Union Dance Festival - it was a lovely day and a lovely atmosphere for all our performers. Thanks to the parents also for your support. For my incredible Union team - Lauren Saunders, Ruby Cummings and Sheila Thompson. For my amazing helpers - Gemma McDonough, Leanne Postigo, Claire Milburn and my little helpers Theo, Sophia and Mollie. And lastly, but mainly, to the incredible adjudicator that gave amazing feedback throughout the day - Georgia McEnaney. It was an absolute pleasure to have you at our event and to listen to all the lovely positive things you had to say to all of the dancers. Thank you so much everybody. I can’t wait to see you all at our next event. Watch this space! ❤️ by @uniondancecomp
What an incredible day at the Union Dance Festival! ✨ First of all, a huge thank you to our adjudicator, Andrew Giblin, for your positive feedback and thoughtful report cards. It was an absolute pleasure having you at our festival, and we truly appreciate your support. A big thank you also to our wonderful writer, Ruby Cummings, and to the incredible Lauren Saunders, whose hard work behind the scenes kept everything running smoothly—from lining everyone up to presenting trophies and medals. We couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you to my mum, Sheila Thompson, for all of your help and support, and to the team at Howden Hub Community for accommodating our festival. Your staff were so welcoming, helpful, and accommodating throughout the day. The standard of dancing was outstanding. Well done to every dancer who took part—not only for your amazing performances but also for the kindness, encouragement, and support you showed one another. It was truly heartwarming to watch. A heartfelt thank you to all of the teachers for your dedication, hard work, and the incredible choreography you brought to the stage. And thank you to all of the parents for your continued support—it means so much. Finally, congratulations to all of our Supreme finalists. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves! Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the teachers for bringing their schools to Union Dance today. We truly appreciate your support, and it means the world to us. Well done to all of the students who performed. The talent on display today was absolutely incredible. It was wonderful to see such a variety of styles represented across the teams, and we always love seeing lyrical performances alongside street dance in the solo and duos. The street battles were a fantastic addition this year, and it was great to see everyone getting involved. Thank you also to all of the parents for your continued support. Events like this would not be possible without you, and we are very grateful. I’m sure you’ll all agree that we had three incredible judges today, a fantastic host, and an absolutely brilliant DJ who helped create such a great atmosphere throughout the event. A special thank you goes to my amazing team who worked so hard today: Maxwell, Kate and Abby. An extra shout-out to Maxwell for taking some incredible photographs, which we’ll be sharing on our page very soon. Thank you as well to Sandra, our scrutineer, Max, our security team member, and to Spennymoor Leisure Centre for hosting us and helping make the day such a success. I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone, and I apologise if I have. Finally, congratulations to Ruff Diamond Varsity, our highest-scoring team of the day. What an achievement! Thank you all once again for making today so special. We can’t wait to see everyone again next year. ✨ by @uniondancecomp
