#salonventilation by @unsprungsalon

Alpha Environmental Services, Inc was called in to analyze the salon air. Despite the extensive ventilation, it was important to know exactly what is in the air we breath while we work. Turns out, not one VOC came close to the toxic limit for exposure. Who says you can't buy peace of mind? 🤩

This is Emily, our personal farmer. We've received her CSA veggies for the last couple years so when she mentioned she might be interested in something that would save her time, and air dry smoother, I was thrilled.🙌🙌🙌🙌 Emily has very thick, wavy, beautiful virgin hair. If I had this hair, you all know I would grow it to my butt🤣
The "after" photo was taken a couple weeks after the treatment, airdried. Goal achieved🙌
I talk about our CSA sometimes with clients and I'm surprised how few folks sign up for them, or even know what they are. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. A person pays up front for a season of veggies, meat or whatever the CSA produces. It is the single best thing someone can do to ensure our local farmers don't disappear. And for us personally, it ensures that we prioritize eating fresh veg.
Thank you, Emily for letting me do your hair🫶 And thank you for our food🙏🏻

✨Hello✨
If your straightening goes way too flat, and you normally style out your hair, than you might consider leaving portions out of the treatment zone in order to keep volume where you need it❤️ Just a thought🤙

🌸Something to consider: 1 oz of straightening solution can replace multiple ounces of detangling and styling products.

That's all🌸

My favorite type of brush for detangling super tight curls is always a smooth ended brush/comb❤️‍🔥

Hi there✨
Heatless Curls are such a great way to avoid adding damage to hair. This client uses the Cozy Confidence Sherpa roller. The main reasons she comes in for keratin are:
1. Faster dry time
2. Defuzzed perimeter
3. Curls stay smoother, for longer
4. Overall reduction in volume

For her, keratin is just a tool to help reduce her styling time❤️‍🔥

2023 is going fast 🙌 by @unsprungsalon

✨This client's hair is virgin, dense and very thick per strand. Her hair goes stick straight with this service so this swingy bob stays put even after her first shampoo🙌 The smoothing treatment also reduces volume enough to remove need for as much texturizing or thinning. All that weight can sit there, super blunt, and not "mushroom" out. Which is great, if mushrooms are not your thing😉
And who cut this precision bob? I thought you'd never ask🤩

The Taliban is imposing a ban on all hair salons. And they will be closed by July 27. Being the owner of a hair salon, this story is pretty shocking. It makes me so appreciative that I happen to be living in America right now. Over the years I've had several very dear Afghani clients who were such great ladies. One of them turned me onto a little book called "Kabul Beauty School". it's a great little memoir of a woman who started a beauty school in Afghanistan to give the women over there the means to make money, most of the time earning more than their husbands or fathers. since the shut down was announced in Afghanistan, women have been coming out and protesting. I'm not really sure how to help but the least I can do is put it on other peoples radar if they haven't tuned into this yet. Can you imagine if salons in America or ban? I can't even wrap my mind around that…
