The Division of Student Affairs proudly celebrated Careers in Student Affairs Month, recognizing the dedication, hard work and meaningful contributions of the professionals who support student success and enhance the college experience. ✨

Student Affairs employees play an essential role in fostering student development, creating a welcoming campus environment and providing resources and support that help students thrive both academically and personally.

As a gesture of appreciation, we hosted a special employee appreciation luncheon to recognize and celebrate our dedicated team members.

Employees enjoyed some great food, connected with colleagues and took a moment to reflect on the important work they do each day. We even had a TV monitor showing personal messages and throwback Student Affairs photos from team members! 📸

The celebration served as a reminder that the impact of Student Affairs professionals extends far beyond their daily responsibilities. Their commitment, compassion, leadership and dedication make a lasting difference in the lives of students and the campus community.

Thank you to all Student Affairs professionals for the work you do and the difference you make! 🫶🙌 by @unthealthstudentaffairs

We want to hear from you! Take the National College Health Assessment (NCHA) survey to help us better understand key health concerns on campus.

Your responses are confidential, and the results will help guide future initiatives, programs, and resources to better support student well-being.

The survey link has been sent to your student email. Be sure to complete it by November 16!

As a thank you for participating, students who complete the survey will be entered into a giveaway for JBL Tour One headphones! by @unthealthstudentaffairs

Your next step starts here. All November long, the Career Readiness Center is offering events and support at every stage, whether you are exploring options, polishing your materials, or preparing to apply.

Start by stopping by our kickoff tabling event on Tuesday, November 3, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the MET Lobby to say hello and pick up resources. Then keep an eye out for our campus golden ticket hunt (find the hidden items around campus and bring them to the CRC for a prize). One-on-one appointments are also open all month, so book a time to work on your resume, practice interviewing, or map out your next move.

Follow along for updates, and tell us in the comments which event you are most excited about. by @unthealthstudentaffairs

Please join our standing ovation for Rylee Schmitt, winner of our Standing Ovation Award for 2026, third quarter! This award recognizes outstanding employee performance in the Division of Student Affairs. 🎉🎊⭐️

➙ Help us applaud Rylee by leaving a 👏 in the comments to show your support!

About our winner…
Rylee has repeatedly demonstrated a remarkable ability to anticipate the needs of her team and step forward to provide assistance before being asked — all while managing the significant responsibilities associated with supporting three academic programs.

She consistently makes a meaningful difference for both our on-campus and remote students and has been crucial to the Testing and Evaluation Services department’s success at maintaining the high-quality service they are known for while operating short staffed for an extended period of time.

“Rylee has gone above and beyond her role during this time while providing her usual outstanding customer service and being a truly remarkable TES team player,” said the nomination. “She is the We Care and Better Together values personified and has been instrumental in keeping TES team culture and morale intact while we navigate being understaffed and priority overload.”

Rylee has shown a willingness to take ownership of important projects, and according to the nomination, Rylee's efforts “exemplify the spirit of teamwork and service that strengthens our division and advances our mission.”

Thank you, Rylee, for your proactive and collaborative approach, strong work ethic and the exceptional customer service you provide to students, faculty and staff every day! 🫶
