🦆 #OregonDesignDucks in the UO Department of the History of Art and Architecture develop skills in appreciating visual and material culture to become true global citizens, equipped to understand how historical events and concerns relate to important contemporary and international phenomena. Our students learn about important designs in the world’s history and research today’s unsolved ancient mysteries about those who walked the Earth long before us. #DucksGive #UOArtHistory

🦆 Interested in learning how past societies’ practices relate to and differ from our world today?

The University of Oregon Department of the History of Art and Architecture – known for our focus on the Pacific Rim, the Americas, East Asia, and the Mediterranean world – allows students and faculty to explore global history, culture, and society from antiquity to the present day. To study them is to understand the fundamental values of different cultures in their specific historical contexts. #OregonDesignDucks here are eager to learn about the practices of past civilizations and what we can learn from them. #DucksGive #UOArtHistory
