POSTS STORIES REELS

We have a lot of new friends on this page so I thought I’d re-introduce myself! 👋🏼

Hiiiii Everyone! 🙋🏼‍♀️

My name is Emma! I’ve been with lululemon for 4 holidays (we go by seasonal timelines 😂) but going on 4 years in October of 2026. Here are some pretty cool facts about little ole me that maybe you didn’t know! ⬇️

1️⃣ I started my lululemon career at @shopstc as a seasonal educator. I was one of maybe 20 educators that they hired for that time. Only 3 stayed as permanent. I was 1 of the 3! 🍋

2️⃣ I’ve helped out at many stores which includes Oshawa, Markville, Don Mills & Vaughan! But I’ve shopped at many more including Bloor St, Yorkdale and even New York 5th Ave! 🗽

3️⃣ I moved into the Community Specialist role in April of 2023 at the @oshawacentre as a 18 month contract role and truthfully it’s a very broad description of the role. I had no idea what I was getting into. Needless to say we finished it and I’m here permanently an as much as I think I have a grasp of the role I’m sure there is more I can improve on! 🤓

4️⃣ I’ve been in fitness and sales my whole life so when I applied for lululemon (which took 6 times applying before I got the opportunity) I didn’t know much about retail but I knew one thing and that was talking to people. I’m a chatty cathy! I love learning about humans and becoming ther best friend! 🤗

5️⃣ I’m big on diversity and inclusion. Whether I’m planning a run and they want to run a long distance I will always make a smaller distance for first time runners. If there is a cultural awareness day- I’m on it! Chinese New Year I found red pockets to give all the educators. I’m about to prep Christmas in the oasis too! Heck my hubby is Mexican. And I know what you’re thinking- @badbunnypr is my fav artist. 🇵🇷

6️⃣ I went to school to be a gym teacher. I went to Humber to study Fitness and Health Promotion and then thought maybe I’ll work with older adults. So I went back to study Gerontology. Also in school I played varsity soccer. I was a big athlete back in the day. I coached, reffed and played soccer.

Truthfully I could go on but that’s just a slice! 🍕

I may or may not have bought everything in the collection! 💎

For someone who is a runner, the reflectivity is so important to have especially during an evening run. Also, since daylight savings time just recently happened, it’s getting darker so much faster! What a perfect time that lululemon puts out this amazing line.

Also, I’m pretty easily swindled! 😆

I had the absolute privilege of meeting Alastair & Josh at a HYROX simulation which was a month out before Toronto HYROX.

Both being very heavily involved in community and sharing their lives and their day-to-day habits on social media allowed me to relate to them on a personal level and truly wanted to meet them face-to-face and bring them in for an outfit session!

Not only did I get to meet them and talk to them about what they do in their community and what they are about to get up to heading into the winter season, I had the surprise of outfitting them both! ✨

Alastair coaches at @sweatsocietyto and Josh teaches at @goodlifefitness and much more! Get yourself booked in either of these amazing coaches classes! You won’t regret it!

During marathon month, we had a very exciting event that we hosted at QSW. This was called Routes & Roots. ✨

Leaders of our run community we a part of a panel that was hosted by my run, ambassador Lorne and run lead Christine. These leaders that were part of the panel are the ones who lead the frontline of the run community. We discussed connection, community and consistency in run space.

And shout out to the CS team who helped bring this panel night together! 🤎

Get the tissues ready 😭

When I started my role as a community specialist, I had no idea what type of impact that I could make. The role is so vast that as I always say you can wear so many hats. This year, my hat during October was to run the marathon! Last year, I was cheering with lululemon!

Last year during the Toronto Marathon, I met Beth. Who is the regional manager of Toronto. We found each other on social shortly after, and she continually would always engage with my posts in whatever I had created.

Beth saw my potential through a social lens. What I mean by that is we never really cross paths after other than her inviting me to a community specialist level up session, being part of summer series, sweating with her region and then crossing paths as I was running Riot Relay.

When Queen Street became available for a community specialist I applied. And although I was very nervous, I knew that going into that store and that region I had someone that I could also lean on.

When I think of Beth, I think passionate, strong, and truthfully, super cool. When she became my direct report, she created a safe space for vulnerability, laughter, a place to ask all the questions that I need an answers to and so much more. Late night messages and all! 😉

When I think of Beth, I see a leader.

And although I wasn’t able to be there for her celebration sendoff during the race, I wanted to make sure that I gave her the biggest hug and warm embrace that she deserves. She deserves all of the praise and gratitude from all of Toronto. I can never truly put into words of how much of an amazing individual she is.

Whoever fills this role has such big shoes to fill. And in her next endeavor, just know that they are getting an absolute rockstar.

It’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you soon. But she deserves a post of her own on this feed because truthfully, this is the only photo that we have together. ❤️
