@urosh hears my harmonica playing for the first time at @tothebridgenyc . At the board is engineer Amon @amon_drum has heard me since the late 90s, he was the first drummer I took on tour, he is such a great engineer. His sound is tactile. I love this studio. @findingcoco took the video. I love having her in the control room when I'm recording, her opinions are always spot on. She understands music. I've learned she's usually right. by @urosh
What a beautiful evening with Manu Martínez and his incredible band at Live From The Bridge. Music like that reminds us how powerful it is when artists bring their full hearts, heritage, and imagination into a room and share it in real time. Thank you to the entire ensemble for giving us such a rich and moving night of sound. Special thanks to Jose Alvarado for reaching out with the idea and helping bring this one to life. We are so grateful when artists and collaborators trust The Bridge as a home for moments like these. And deepest thanks to everyone who came out and supported another Live From The Bridge. Your presence means more than attending a show - you helped make the recording happen. Creating music and capturing it in the moment is a rare and meaningful thing, and every person in the room becomes part of that story. Huge love as always to @amon_drum @urosh @greg_tock for rocking the setup, engineering, and helping the room feel seamless from first note to last. Thanks to @monakayhan - the producer of this series, @allthatjazz_nyc for co-hosting and footage as well as @fort.hamilton.distillery for the tasty freshly batched old fashioned cocktails. These nights continue to remind us what community can feel like. Join us in May for more Live From The Bridge - link in bio. We Still Stand 🌻 Official studio recording video will be premiering tomorrow November 11 on my YouTube channel at 12PM PST / 3PM EST What makes this song and video so different from my others is the amount of heart that each person poured into this project. From writing this in my room to capturing it in this beautiful studio, sharing this song in this way is everything I hoped for. I feel so grateful to have collaborated with such talented and gracious individuals who really brought this song to life. Thank you Grace and Lexi for shooting this video on your own time and as full time first year students at NYU. Grace, from the time I met you in Miami you have been a light in my life and it has been an honor and a privilege to work with you so closely on this video. Thank you for spending countless hours editing and for seeing the project through till the end. @grace_.wong @lexi.clark Thank you Lesya, you are the first person who believed in this song and played this song with me before it was even finished. Thank you for helping me with the Ukrainian lyrics and for playing the Bandura as masterfully as you do. @lesya.verba Fima, thank you for not only playing the piano so beautifully but for the soul and heart that you so effortlessly pour into everything we work on together. It has been a pleasure to learn from you and having you be apart of this song is extremely special for me. @fimamusic Urosh! The man with the plan! Thank you for helping us all sound so wonderful and for your peaceful energy throughout this process. There were times when I questioned myself and this song and having your support and second pair of ears has been such a blessing. @urosh Thank you Julia, for always capturing such beautiful moments on camera and for your calming presence, which is invaluable. @julia_eva_ph Finally, thank you to you, who ever and wherever you may be, thank you for reading and thank you for listening to my song. It came from the heart and I hope it resonates with you on some level or some capacity because as a songwriter that is all I hope for. by @urosh
