Adrar Inu is guest curated by Anais Bouchatta, a 2026 graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology. The show will be open July 09 2026 - August 30 2026. 201@105 will highlight one of the participating artists: ADRIAN OAKLEY “Adrian Oakley a recent graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology with a background in Visual Arts and Information Systems. She is an artist who works across mediums to create work that speaks to her lived experiences. Whether through music, visual art, or literary art, everything she creates is a reflection of how she perceives the world. Adrian is interested in creating pieces and experiences that merge creativity and innovation. In much of her creative work, she centers her identity as a young Black Caribbean-American woman, using that lens to curate unique perspectives and spark meaningful conversation. In this exhibition particularly, she highlights Black and queer aesthetics inspired by Blood Orange’s discography.” For more information : Visit us at: 105 Mulberry St., Room 201 New York, NY 10013 Hours: Thursday - Sunday: 12 PM - 7 PM And by appointment. by @user4115566

The many stages of my art piece! I also found an old essay from 2025 that I wrote about Negro Swan (another Blood Orange album that I love) and it reminded me that everything comes full circle. My thesis was that the contributions of Black and queer people have not only expanded the boundaries of music, but encouraged greater acceptance and understanding of “othered” identities. Specifically, it focused on how Negro Swan explores themes of queer identity, mental health, and self-acceptance, specifically reflecting on of Black queer individuals in society. by @user4115566
A write up of the meaning of my latest painting (will be shown at the July 11th @collectifdefar show). While I was waiting for a meeting, I decided to write about what this work meant to me. It really brought me out of my comfort zone as I’ve primarily been doing digital art, so getting in front of a canvas and putting pen to paper was a really interesting experience. When I first agreed to be in the show, I had a clear idea of what I wanted to make. A portrait of a man with gold teeth. As I was in the process of creating the work, I began the question my connection to the piece. I waited and woke up with a new idea. After a couple days, to my surprise, the piece was done! Creating is such a beautiful experience. The good, the bad, and the mid. If you’re around in New York City on the 11th, feel free to stop by and see my work and many other wonderful artists work on display, you won’t wanna miss it. by @user4115566
Guys, I got another DJ controller because of industry standard and it also looks super tuff but for real I have to learn how to use pioneer gear if I ever wanna do gigs plus being well-rounded is cool. I spent about like 30 or 45 minutes playing around with it and I think I got the hang of it not gonna lie. It was a little shaky at first trying to make sure the controls were how I wanted them to be set up, but I definitely made progress. The basics are the same though it’s just getting used to everything else. by @user4115566
🧟‍♀️ went to Miami and it was an interesting trip to say the least. we met some cool people and listented to some good music. it’s very different from Jersey, but I will say the beaches there were beautiful. by @user4115566
