Region 5

Retired K9 Drogo crossed the Rainbow Bridge today, October 16, 2026.

K9 Drogo faithfully served the City of Hamilton Ohio Police Department for five years, dedicating his career to protecting the community alongside his handler, Officer Figley. Drogo was trained by the Middletown Division of Police and went on to build an impressive career marked by loyalty, courage, and an extraordinary work ethic.

During his years of service, K9 Drogo accomplished some remarkable things:

* 275 total deployments
* 78 seizures involving narcotics, firearms, and other evidence
* $67,150 seized from a local drug dealer during a traffic stop
* 67 total arrests, including numerous apprehensions
* Multiple successful tracks, assisting both the City of Hamilton and neighboring law enforcement agencies

He was a dedicated partner, a trusted protector, and a loyal friend. The bond between a K9 and his handler is something truly special, built on countless hours of training, trust, and working side by side.

Today, we extend our deepest condolences to Middletown PD Officer Figley. by @uspca_k9

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Danny Page. Danny was a longtime K9 handler and trainer with the Alexandria Police Department before beginning his second career with the CIA Police.

Danny was a Life Member of the USPCA and Region 3, as well as a National Judge. Throughout the years, he served the USPCA in numerous roles at both the Regional and National levels. He served as the National Supply Officer for many years and as a Region 3 Trustee.

Danny was a fixture at Regional and National events, both as a competitor and a judge. He was always willing to share his knowledge and experience with younger handlers, taking the time to teach, mentor, and help them whenever he could.

Danny’s dedication to the K9 profession and the USPCA, along with his willingness to support and mentor others, leaves a lasting legacy. He will be deeply missed by the many handlers, judges, trainers, and friends who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Danny’s family, friends, and K9 family during this difficult time. by @uspca_k9
