Who says mermaids can’t have fun on land? 😉

We had SO much fun at the Utah Renaissance Faire! We love getting to perform as mermaids, meeting amazing people, and sharing our love of mermaiding with everyone who visits the lagoon.

There’s something so special about bringing a little mermaid magic to life and being part of an event where fantasy and reality come together. We’re so grateful for these experiences and all the memories we get to make along the way! ✨

I love hunting for scraps and treasures to bring home from events like @utahrenfaire because I use them in my junk journal to memory keep!

One of my favorite parts about Ren Faire this year was the Royal Library Adventure that had us hunting all over the fair and learning history along the way!

We also loved tea tasting with @herbalembracefamilyfarm, seeing Twitchery make brooms, all the live music @fairefellows, interactive character experiences like @fairy_catcher_mudgett, eating meat pies at concessions, and shopping merchants row which was full of shops like @thetansypatchstudio

I love using mini and standard composition journals as an inexpensive base for the best souvenir of all time: junk journals.

Follow along for more junk journaling and memory keeping inspiration!

I’m not giving up on the standard size junk journal just yet, but I definitely prefer the mini.

I can see how the larger size would be better for a lot of events. But the mini calls to me! I love the challenge of filling a small space and how it’s so rewarding to create a chunky journal from a smaller collection of scraps.

Both of these spreads were from our weekend at @utahrenfaire
