Sara Parcera Leites '11, a Davis UWC Scholar is now an emergency helicopter pilot. Sara was awarded a Davis scholarship to attend Macalester College where she earned a BA in Political Science and International Relations.

Twenty-five years ago, a bold vision was launched, one that got its start in a visit to UWC-USA years earlier. The vision was to provide young, internationally-minded students with the opportunity to benefit from higher education and bring their perspectives to US colleges and universities.

The Davis UWC Scholars Program was born not just from a desire to fund
undergraduate education, but from a profound belief in the potential of UWC
graduates to act as catalysts for a more peaceful, sustainable, and just world.

The UWC-USA community is profoundly grateful to the Davis Family for their
extraordinary generosity, the vision they shared with Dr. Phil Geier for this
program, and their unwavering faith in our students.
