The Cowboys are taking on Northern Illinois this weekend at the War!

If these Northern Illinois Huskies are anything like Benny, a Cowboy win should be a breeze!

GO POKES! BEAT THE HUSKIES!

🤠ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT

From UW to East Carolina University, Eli Hvastkovs has built a career rooted in teaching, connection, and a passion for helping students succeed. In Spring 2026, he was honored with ECU’s Board of Governors’ Distinguished Professor for Teaching Award after years of dedication to his students.

His advice to current Cowboys? Get involved, meet new people and make the most of every opportunity outside the classroom.

“Experience as many student groups and interact with as many students as you can. The more people you meet will benefit you down the road in your career and in life”

A reminder that some of the most valuable lessons and connections happen beyond the classroom! by @uwyopresident

I don't remember this guy being in 300, but I'm pretty sure he would've been better off in Wyoming.

The Cowboys are taking on the San Jose Spartans this weekend, and we're ready for battle!

🤠 ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT

From music education to handcrafted spirits, Amber Pollock’s journey proves that career paths don’t have to be linear.

After earning bachelor’s and master’s degree in music education from UW, Amber went on to co-found Backwards Distilling Company in Casper. Thirteen years later, Backwards has expanded to Laramie, bringing its circus-inspired tasting room to UW Plaza.

Her advice to students and recent grads? Embrace the unexpected and stay open to where your degree can take you.

“Your path probably won’t be linear, but if you’re open to them, surprising opportunities exist.”

📸 Camera roll evidence that Homecoming was THAT good.

A week full of Poke Pride, Cowboy Fever and memories we’ll be talking about until next year.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Laramie and made this Homecoming one to remember. We loved celebrating with you!

And a big thank you to @uniwyo our sponsor of Homecoming 2026 and our tailgate sponsor @crestinsurancegroup for helping make it all possible. 🤎💛

👋Hey Chuck Brown!

MEET JOE & PETE! 🤠💛🤎

We got to meet two very cool future Pokes this weekend — Joe and Pete, sons of Jake and Jamie Ivanoff!

Their names sound familiar, don’t they? 👀 That’s because they were named after two iconic University of Wyoming mascots: Pistol Pete and Cowboy Joe!

Joe and Pete shared how much they love Cowboy game days, being in Laramie and experiencing the incredible community that comes together in the Brown & Gold.

And the best part? Both Joe and Pete say they’re fully committed to becoming Cowboys when their time comes. 🤠

Safe to say, Poke Pride runs in the family. 💛🤎

The Cowboys are heading up to North Dakota State this weekend to take on the Bison.

I thought I would show my support in the coolest way I know how - riding a bison. Unfortunately, my dream was promptly shut down. The next best thing? A bison burger and a Cowboy win!

🔥NOW THAT is how you ignite a tradition!

Our first Homecoming Bonfire brought the Cowboy community together for one unforgettable night, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off a new tradition!

Thank you to everyone who showed up and showed OUT, along with Western, Bruce Pivic and the hot air balloon, UWPD, our firefighters, Pinebeach for the fire shirts and the many people behind the scenes who made it possible🤎💛

Consider the tradition officially lit 🔥 by @uwyopresident
