Minneapolis - we’ve got something special planned for August. DayFunk’s first international guest DJ. Summer in the city...
All ages. Free admission.

Please join us in welcoming:
@eddieleader_ : @huddtraxx - 𝐮𝐤/𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐳𝐚
Eddie Leader has spent more than two decades building his corner of house music from Huddersfield, England. As a DJ, producer and founder of Hudd Traxx, he’s earned a reputation for deep, soulful and groove-heavy house, releasing music from artists including Chez Damier, Jovonn, DJ Sneak, Nightmares on Wax and Matthew Herbert. His connection to Chicago runs deep, but Eddie has never been interested in simply looking backward. His sets bring together the history of house with the records pushing it forward. We’re excited to welcome Eddie Leader to DayFunk as he celebrates 20 years of his label Hudd Traxx.

With support from:
@jeffstaat
@val_ebertz
@nickgunz

🎷 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT - RULO

Get ready for a set with flavor 🌎🔥 This week at Takeover, we’re bringing in @Val_ebertz, aka Rulo, to deliver a sound that refuses to stay in one lane.

Blending house, UKG, bass, and multi-genre vibes, Rulo brings serious versatility to the decks, with one personal rule that says everything you need to know - there’s been at least one Latin track in every set she’s ever played 💃🕺 Expect rhythm, energy, and unexpected turns all night long.

While she’s only been DJing for a few years, music has always been part of the story. From performing saxophone at weddings to constantly diving into new genres, styles, and sounds, Rulo brings a true musician’s mindset to every set.

And fun fact - she once stepped up to open for DJ Diesel after another opener couldn’t make it. Talk about rising to the occasion.

If you’re into DJs who stay curious, keep things fresh, and know how to keep a dancefloor moving, this is a set you won’t want to miss 👀
