The highlight from our freediving trip to Menorca: diving a cave called The Cathedral, which consisted in descending 12m into a pitch dark cavern and searching for the flashlight of our guide @valeriaolives before coming out into an incredible chamber.

What makes Valeria’s Instructor Course different?

Or maybe you should ask yourself: how does she make the physical intensity of daily teaching look so easy and serene?

Some people come into freediving through natural performance and others through a need for adventure, curiosity and a love of the ocean.
Valeria came in through emotional understanding, with a love of human beings and what makes them tick.

She teaches differently: slow, clear and intuitive, with a way of making people relax into learning and empowering them to meet the challenge. From guiding beginners to mentoring experienced divers, the thing she does best is help people trust in their abilities.

Her instructor courses, on the other hand, have been described as an ordeal. They combine the mental and physical challenge of being responsible for the safety, experience and learning of your students with the need for organisation, coordination, support and clear communication - instilling the confidence her instructor candidates need to deliver high-quality teaching day in, day out.

This isn’t just about gaining a qualification that allows you to teach. It’s an experience that forges you into a sharp and highly effective professional instructor.

She’ll be running just one AIDA Instructor Course next August in Menorca. If you’ve ever considered teaching or want to learn how to share your knowledge with the same clarity and depth Valeria brings, get in touch. by @valeriaolives

So we’re in Dominica! Settling in at @blueelementfreediving before next week’s camp. There’s nowhere quite like it—the depth, the rainforest, the wild beauty. Unfortunately one of our group has had to pull out at the last minute and they’re keen to offer their spot to someone….If you’re keen to join us, DM now—we start in a few days!

These are honestly some of the best and easy conditions we’ve ever dived in and where @valeriaolives dived to 80m last year. What a wonderful place to be! 🐋 💙 🌀
