@stephenbaumanartwork it was a fun livestream!! 80th study! by @vancantdraw
Studying After Anne Blinska by Emmeliane Deane. I pickup this amazing portrait in early december, but I gaveup as it seemed very complex. I wanted it to have a traditional and impasto look. I picket this up again a few days ago. It is such an increadible portrait, the subtleties is where this portrait just gets my heart, be it the color notes or be it that distinct dead look in eyes of Anne because of her father passing away very shortly before this portrait. You feel the grief through her eyes. The dtess shes wearing, such an amazing sclupting of form, with the lost and found edges this portrait keeps you engaged. I wonder how this would feel in real life. This is primarily done in @escapemotions Rebelle 7 Pro. The process for this painting and how it came to be is already uploaded on youtube by the time this post goes live :) Also this portrait isnt finished, Im not too satisfied with some things about this which Ill keep fixing and improving further upon, but for now, this is where I have choosen to deliberately stop. If I work upon it further, Ill keep yall updated as well :) by @vancantdraw
July 8, first ever painting on photoshop, feels like I am getting better, still using Note 9 as graphic tablet. Will buy a graphic tablet in some months. Also this piece isnt the most upto my standards because a lot better it could have been. But I am satisfied by the study considering its my first ever painting piece with different colours The greatest help was watching Marco Buccis videos on how to paint better, it gave me a great insight on what art is actually. Ill miss that intern though hope hes safe Marco. Painting skin with ochre, red and yellow tones seemed to help greatly, and not using smudge tool. Only one paintbrush was used which is round brush. Round brush is best brush. Edit 2024: This post is kept pinned, as a reminder to me, and to show you guys from where I started when I was just beginning and where I am now currently. It takes some work, some free time and the right resources to reach where I am, thats how I did it. And I pray you can do it too :) by @vancantdraw
something presentable after many many manyyyyyy manyyyyy tries. #madewithrebelle #rebelle8pro I really like the simple colors, its so hard to pull them off when your mind is hammering you to keep drawing details and render, sometimes the key to good drawing is keeping it simple with the illusion of details here and there by @vancantdraw
a cheap imitation of master @yizhengke1988 made in rebelle 8 pro, its very hard sometimes to control the mess, Photoshop and its brushes are extremely forgiving in their nature compared to Rebelle 8, however mastering the later gives you a very indepth knowledge about painting. by @vancantdraw
