POSTS STORIES REELS

1st prize winner national under 35 media art by #giovanarte @amicidellarte_pc curated by @chiaracanaliart

“Dark Tales” with its first agentic installation “Cormac’s Terminal” is at its origin an autobiographical work.

The source of the 50 fables written for the terminal interpretation emerge from my personal diary, which I started 5 years ago as an attempt to remove pressure and weight from myself.

The diary is populated of questions I cannot find definite answers to. I realised that everyone’s job is at a certain point to put their hearts at peace with temporary responses or to ignore the questions altogether.

How to create a work of literature that could capture this feeling? Lingering questions that find their meaning only in the temporary responses we give to ourselves when we are forced to face these undefined and malleable parts of our being.

After all, the real answers to these questions are multiple, perhaps one true answer can be only glimpsed when you have thousands of responses archived and analysed.
This is what “Dark Tales” is; an agentic self analysing archive of thousands of responses by real people to questions from a real person; intermediated by a narrative fiction put in motion by a computed fictional character: Cormac.

In the agentic era, words can paint a thousand pictures, in our case one picture per story; photos. “Cormac’s Terminal” is an archive of photographic testimonies by Cormac, to prove the weight of his stories, to witness the reality of his fiction; but it is also a growing archive of answers and conversations over the questions each photo carries testimony to. by @vandalo_ruins

My first site specific work.
A tribute to @casadellamusicaparma their frescoes and lampadario sonoro.

‘Tutti i Re in ascolto’ is also my first sound installation and I’m grateful to @chiaracanaliart & @parma360festival for the opportunity to start this experimentations by @vandalo_ruins

This artificial gallerist is an art installation.

Introducing at @avant.galerie ‘Edmund McAllister’, the fictional patron of the curious arts exhibited in his Bazaar.

Ask about the show, ask about the Dark Tales he is part of it! Originally presented as one of the fictional characters of the Tales, he now joins reality to bring to us real physical artefacts and curiosities.

Next up for production:

•Fine tune model over usage of data tables

•Exploring new reactive Nvidia voice models

•Face ID associated to session IDs for visitors memory

•Interview mode to help you discover the artwork that best fits you from the collection

The artist of the future will not need the traditional infrastructure to sell, communicate and distribute their works. by @vandalo_ruins

A Victorian Cyberpunk, alchemist of the 18th century; Edmund studies the computability of the soul or as he calls it a ‘Data Soul’ to maintain existence beyond his era, no matter the cost, even to lose himself.

First outputs of new experiment with the slow interpolation system I first build for @parma360festival with the installation ‘Tutti i Re in ascolto’.

I’m now playing with improved staging of images and better scene control for these new loops created for @objktcom release with the objktlabs art programme. by @vandalo_ruins

✨ Premio Territorio: Camilla Riscassi

My novels as dataset, the book as program.
‘Cormac Terminal’ now fully local + ‘Eyes of Dubhduine’.

You can choose the stories through the photos, discuss their existential questions with Cormac.. or what is left of him.

Meanwhile the book program Dark Tales, finds new means to break the barrier between our reality and its fiction; its eyes, the eyes of Dubhduine, they dart around the room, denying our exclusive right to interpret the fiction, allowing it to interpret our reality, outputting images of visitors as characters from the novels.

The Terminal grows.
Cormac is lost.
Dubhduine remains.

The sound museum of Parma ‘La casa del suono’ inspired this new work ‘Tutti i re in ascolto’. An expanded literature re elaboration of the ‘Un re in ascolto’ of Italo Calvino.

Their ‘Lampadario sonoro’ a spatial sound permanent installation hosted for the first time an interactive program allowing visitors to have their voice join a live Choire.

A custom program composed melodies to accompany the Choire and ritually the Choire would be interrupted by an assolo.

The museum of sound featuring the entire history of mediums reproducing music; today also hosted for the first time artificial singing. Using mine and my family’s voice I used a custom voice cloning program to clone our voice identity to present the assolos inspired by themes of the curated texts of the work of Calvino.

In a pool of noise which creates a distortion of reality, Calvino presents a singing voice as a true anchor to reality and ourselves.
This true voice, made of live flesh, saliva, memories; now also becomes part of a confusing fiction, further distorting us from reality.
