I'm rather chuffed with this Amazon review: "I'll start by saying that the ending of this novel had me off my seat, jumping up and down, and begging for more." by @vandavadas_author

✨ The waiting is over! ✨ 📕 THE SCOUNDREL SCOT 📕 is now available in eBook and paperback from all leading online retailers.

About the Book ...

In the Highlands, love is forged in fire—and bound by home.

HER AGENDA IS DECEPTION.
HIS VOW IS PROTECTION.
HOWEVER, FATE HAS OTHER PLANS.

Lachlan MacLanoch is a Scottish laird with a rake's reputation, yet his past has left him embittered, untrusting of women, and unwilling to marry. When an English aristocratic lass arrives at his Highland estate, he is pledged to protect her virtue—at all costs. But the spirited and beautiful Sassenach is so very, very tempting...

To atone for one sin, Lady Helene Beckett is forced to commit another. She undertakes to dupe and seduce the Laird of Drumocher Castle as part of a desperate mission to save her young sister's life. Complications arise when the laird's honourable code of conduct proves impenetrable—and her feelings begin to soften towards him.

Outside forces conspire against them—meddling families, secret wagers—forcing Lachlan and Helene to rethink their long-held beliefs. Will it be enough to mend hearts broken by betrayal, heal souls scarred by secrets, and discover a love brave enough to forgive?

✨ I’M SO PROUD AND HONOURED! ✨
I’m absolutely delighted that my Scottish Historical Romance, THE SCOUNDREL SCOT, has been awarded the B.R.A.G. Medallion by indieBRAG! ❤️📚

This recognition means a great deal to me because every book submitted to indieBRAG undergoes a rigorous selection process, beginning with an initial screening and preliminary assessment before progressing further.

According to indieBRAG, on average, only 30–35% of the books considered are awarded the B.R.A.G. Medallion. It’s an honour to have The Scoundrel Scot recognised among them!

The Medallion is more than an accolade. It serves as a seal of approval, assuring readers that a book has undergone a thorough evaluation and earned recognition as a worthwhile read.

As an author, knowing that The Scoundrel Scot has received this distinction makes all the hard work, research and love poured into bringing this story to life even more rewarding.

A heartfelt thank you to indieBRAG for this wonderful honour, and to all my readers for your continued support. Your encouragement means the world to me! ❤️

Have you read The Scoundrel Scot yet? I’d love to hear what you think!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A five-star review from Readers’ Favorite is something I’m incredibly grateful for, and it’s also a lovely reminder of just how much book reviews mean to authors.

For readers, a review might take only a few minutes to write. For an author, it can mean so much. Reviews help our books find their way into the hands of readers who might never have discovered them otherwise. They can introduce someone to a new author, a new series, or even a genre they hadn’t considered reading before.

And every time you share your thoughts about a book, you’re helping that story travel a little further. ❤️

So, if you’ve read a book you enjoyed, please consider leaving a review, whether it’s a few words, a star rating, or a longer reflection. It truly does make a difference.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read, review, recommend and share my books. Your support means more than you know. 📚❤️

It’s Talk Like a Pirate Day… ⚓🏴‍☠️

So what better day to set sail with The Pirate Lord?

A pirate captain.
A beautiful captive.
A dangerous secret.
And a love neither of them expected.

The Pirate Lord is a Regency Historical Romance filled with passion, revenge, intrigue and adventure on the high seas — with a feisty heroine and a hero determined to reclaim what was stolen from him.

Readers have described it as fast-paced, beautifully written and adventure-filled, with twists and turns that keep the pages turning.

Name the book that has you hooked. Drop the title in the comments, tell us why it’s unputdownable, and perhaps tag someone who should read it. Current read, all-time fave, or a hidden gem — we all love a good book recommendation 📚✨ by @vandavadas_author

I bought this cactus a few years back when it was a little blimp in a pot and today, the first day of Spring, it is blooming. I have no idea what type of cactus it is and wasn’t even sure if it would even produce flowers. Happy Days 🥰 by @vandavadas_author

Hmm ... I preferred the movie 📽️ over the book. Your thoughts? 🤔 by @vandavadas_author

📕 As an Australian author, it's a pretty special feeling to know that my new book release, The Scoundrel Scot, is now available to borrow as an ebook through @nypl 📚💜

I mean, this isn't just any library. It's one of New York City's iconic landmarks and welcomes millions of visitors a year to discover and explore inspiring public spaces, incredible research collections, programs and exhibitions.

I am, by no means, a well-known author, but knowing that readers on the other side of the world can discover any of my books is something I never imagined when I first started my writing journey. And let me tell you, it was a very, very long road to publication as an independently and traditionally published author 📚

If you're an NYPL member, you can borrow The Scoundrel Scot and escape to the Scottish Highlands with me! ❤️

I visited the Isle of Skye, Scotland, some years ago but didn't get the opportunity to visit the Fairy Pools in Glen Brittle. I'm told that mist clings to the mountains, crystal waters shimmer beneath ancient skies, and every winding path seems to hold a forgotten story.

The Fairy Pools on the Isle of Skye sound like the kind of place that inspire romance, legend, and a little bit of magic—perfect for losing yourself in another world. ✨🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
