Going from someone who was injury prone with no offers to play at the collegiate level to a professional player happened because of what is between my ears. Our mindset dictates so much of our lives - why not spend adequate time improving it?

Last weekend I got to marry my best friend and my inspiration. Since our first date, being with you has felt more like coming home than meeting someone new. In your eyes I have found my peace, dreams, and hope for the future.

I am so grateful for you and the life we are building. I love you beyond words and feel so lucky to call myself your wife 🤍 by @vanessakara

During an international break this past August, I told my parents that I wished I could somehow play for the Dominican Republic but I had no idea how to go about it. 3 days later I got a call from a recruiter (@yanni_marte) asking if I would like to join the national team. I couldn’t believe the coincidence and asked where I could sign up.

These last 8 months with this team has been a dream. Last week I got to captain the team that has taught me so much about love, joy, hope, and being fully seen. It was easily the greatest honor of my life. I am also grateful to have met my cousins who live in DR and to be learning Spanish for my family and this country. This experience has been the greatest gift.

Thanks to all my teammates for making every experience fun, even being stuck in Turks & Caicos at 1 am. Gracias a todos. by @vanessakara

Kicking off our honeymoon in San Diego

Taking a moment to slow down, be fully present, and celebrate love before we travel the world together. This season feels like intention, adventure, expansion, and deep appreciation for how far we’ve come and everything that’s ahead.

Here’s to love, alignment, and exploring this beautiful world side by side 🤍🌍 by @vanessakara

Iceland felt like a different planet. In awe of the landscapes and natural beauty. Looks like traveling instead of birthday presents is going to be a new tradition by @vanessakara

28 was incredible: the year I got married, became a first time homeowner, spent more time with family and friends, and leaned into my career. It was a year of building roots, peace, and connection. I am so grateful for this wonderful life and especially grateful for my beautiful wife and all the love around us. So excited to see what more possibilities come in year 29 by @vanessakara

Two months into marriage and I’m still in awe of you. Of us. Of this love. Of the way it keeps unfolding, deepening and strengthening.

Every day I wake up more grateful for this life we’re building, for the way we choose each other, with presence, intention, and joy.

Being married to you feels like home and adventure all at once.
You are brilliant. Beautiful. Strong.
You make ordinary moments feel sacred, and hard days feel lighter just by being you.

This unconditional love is real. It’s rooted. It’s expansive. And it’s the greatest gift I’ve ever known.

Thank you for being my safe place, my mirror, my muse, and my favorite human.

Here’s to a lifetime of laughter, growth, partnership, and deep soul connection.

I love you more every single day. by @vanessakara

Getting to be your aunt for a year and see you grow has been my favorite thing. I’m so proud of how you parent @michaelkara13 @onetrue_hill. It’s been a privilege to share in the joy and see our family grow. 🤍 Happy bday J-man! by @vanessakara
