Our Summer’26. No green lawn - no green fields. But as long as a few flowers survive - and our little pond keeps water - there’s still so much beauty to be found. #cotswolds #naturephotography #gardenlifestyle #smallisbeautifull by @vanishingworldart

Missing Summer already.....

I never posted the completed version of this - so here it is. From Ngorongoro Crater - a grazing wildebeest and egret companions. Pastel pencils on textured paper.

I seem to have had so little time to draw recently - but after starting this last winter I have finally just about finished this moment from the Tanzanian coast.

It felt like a long, long winter - but working on this definitely helped me through.

And now Spring is here - and I'm back at the drawing board.

Or in the garden.....

(Pastel pencils on textured paper).

I've had precious little time to do any new pastel paintings this year. But this Leopard portrait is finally finished - and on it's way to the States. Hopefully I'll get another one or two finished before the end of the year. Or started - at least. #wildlifeart #leopardart #pastelpencils #africanwildlife #pastelpainting #bigcat #watching #spotted #inthewild #wildlifelovers #wildlifeartist #tanzania #etsyart #estyuk #leopard by @vanishingworldart

Well - all I can say is - there’s nothing like a hefty dose of Covid to spoil the mood.

Just as I was getting back into the drawing groove - and loving every moment

And just as we were feeling a bit smug for getting away with never testing positive.

That’ll teach me!

Hopefully slightly more normal service will resume in a few days.
