Welcome back for another Leviwand Wednesday Magician Feature! This week, we have none other than the Combo King himself, @vanna.gogo

Max brings a special flair to his flow, especially when contact wanding. He has a knack for unlocking new moves and regularly shares detailed tutorials with the community, which is a passion of his that we really admire. He's also a wanderful hype man ♡

Here is a bit of his story:

Hi! It's Max (he/him), the person behind @vanna.gogo! I first picked up leviwand in August of 2022 because I wanted to have a prop for EDC Orlando. It's been an amazing 15ish months of learning and meeting new people.

I have a color guard background, and I loved the illusion and baton mix that leviwand offered. I ordered my little emazing wand, and it was love at first flow! I went from short string wand, to a long string, to a short string contact wand where I found my true love - contact wand.

I love being able to really dance (like a maniac) and incorporate on-body contact moves that combine musicality, baton twirling, and tosses. Some of my favorite tricks are around the world, mustache rolls and teeter totters.

Back from Flame and finally unpacked. My bags at least, not quite my feelings.

The feelings I have about this weekend are so hard to describe. Being surrounded by so much love and positivity is a truly life changing experience. You never expect your life to take a completely different direction at 32, but I’ve never been happier it did.

Having people come up to me and tell me I inspire them, and that they love to see me perform is unbelievable. I never thought that I would be on the receiving end of so much kindness.

I think it was @make.rainbows who said to me this weekend while we were watching our friends completely in their flowstate:

“Younger me would think I’m so cool.”

So, to my younger self, it might take a while, 32 years in fact, but something is going to come and change your life in such a good and unexpected way, that every bad moment you will ever experience will be worth it because it will lead you to FLAME Festival.

Brb gonna go grab a tissue real quick. #dragonstaff #flowarts #festival #fire by @vanna.gogo
