Scrimmage βœ”οΈ Lesson gained. πŸ’™πŸ Every time we step on the court, there’s something to learn. The scrimmages showed us what’s working, what needs work, and where we have to get better. Now it’s time to apply what we learned. 🎯 We’re not chasing perfection, we’re building consistency, chemistry, and confidence one rep at a time. Lesson learned. Adjustments coming. πŸπŸŽ“ COMMITTED ANNOUNCEMENT πŸ“£ πŸŽ“πŸ Lakeland Boys Volleyball is proud to announce that Douglas β€œNova” Kelly has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Averett University, where he will study Biology with plans to pursue a career in Botany. Nova’s journey is a testament to what can happen when talent meets hard work, accountability, resilience, and the right opportunities. Not long ago, Douglas was sitting on the bench, waiting for his chance. Many people overlooked him. Many people never saw the potential that was there. But he never stopped working. He never stopped showing up. He never stopped believing. Through quality coaching, countless repetitions, club volleyball experience, and a commitment to getting better every single day, Nova transformed himself into a collegiate athlete. Earned All Region Accolades and helped lead his team to the states semifinals!! This is exactly why we preach accountability, effort, and trusting the process. Every rep matters. Every practice matters. Every opportunity matters. One of the greatest parts of your journey was seeing your world expand through club volleyball. It opened your eyes to the possibilities this sport can provide, the relationships it can create, and the doors it can open. You embraced every challenge, and now those opportunities have led you to the next level. Nova, thank you for your commitment to our program, your teammates, and the sport of volleyball. Your growth has been incredible to watch, and your story will continue to inspire the athletes who come after you. The work is not finishedβ€”it’s just beginning. Now it’s time to rise to the occasion, embrace the next chapter, and turn the page toward something even greater. We are beyond proud of you, and we cannot wait to watch you compete at the collegiate level. TAKE UP SPACE & DO BIGGER THINGS !!! Congratulations, Douglas. You earned every bit of this. πŸ’™πŸ€πŸ #Committed #AverettVolleyball #mensvolleyball #α΄›Κ€α΄œsα΄›α΄›Κœα΄‡α΄˜Κ€α΄α΄„α΄‡ss #lookmawemadeit by @vbcoachcollins

2025–2026 Sports Awards Ceremony: Lakeland Boys VolleyballπŸ†πŸ’™ What a season. 🏐 3A State Championship Semifinal Appearance πŸ’™ Top 4 Team in Region 3A Individual Region Honors 🏐 2nd Team All-Region 3A β€” Jakob Joseph βš”οΈ Honorable Mention All-Region 3A β€” Jack Justice πŸ’™ Honorable Mention All-Region 3A β€” Douglas β€œNova” Kelly Next Level Achievement πŸŽ“ College Commitment β€” Douglas β€œNova” Kelly 🏐 Averett University Tonight was about much more than awards. While these young men received regional recognition, every athlete in our program played a role in the success of this season. Several players earned team awards, MVP honors, and recognition for their growth, leadership, work ethic, and commitment to becoming better athletes and better young men. What makes me most proud isn’t just the accolades, it’s the progress. This group bought into the process. They showed up for conditioning, battled through adversity, learned to trust one another, and continued pushing themselves to improve every day. The strides that were made from the beginning of the season to the end were tremendous, and the growth we witnessed both on and off the court was something special. As a coach, seeing these athletes develop confidence, accountability, discipline, and a love for the game has been one of the greatest rewards. The future of Lakeland Boys Volleyball is bright, and we are already motivated, energized, and excited for what next season has in store. The work starts now. πŸ’™ Job well done, gentlemen. Your coaches are incredibly proud of you. #mensvolleyball #cavsrcoming #AllRegion #MVP #NextLevel πŸ’™πŸβš”οΈπŸ”₯ by @vbcoachcollins
