WE ARE THRILLED, WE ARE ENRICHED to have Geri from @wienpopkultour as special guest. On his daily life Geri is Journalist for @themessagemagazine and a Tour Guide extravaganza, showing us the City of Vienna from it's underground musical history. (Go and book a tour with him). But this Friday, when day fades beneath its mask, and darkness descends, he turns into DJ 3<8. Showing his musical treasures, forgotten records unearthed by the man who studied the makings of Zentralfriedhof and the Prolettenpassion. 'MIA SAN SCHO G'SPAUNNT, WIA A GUMMIRINGAL' The funky Tucan rides again. Mag 'Skull Disco' Cem and Dizzy Dee mischgeschick will throw their vinyl records on the two turntables. The funk will set you free. Grab a bite and have some delicious glasses of natural wine, then shake a leg. Funky music from all over the globe. We fly from Rio to Cartagena and Kingston, where we find Samba, Cumbia, Chicha and Dub. Over there in Brooklyn, we add some heavy funk and funky rhymes and jump from the groovy side of Cali over the pacific to Tokyo and add some Koto Jazz to the game. In the Jungles of south eastern asia we find some Molam gems and head straight over to Bollywood, where we're at the doorstep to the middle east with its oriental sounds. Turkish Psych Rock and Andolu Pop bringin' joy to our souls. The continent of Africa brings Egypt groovers and deep funk from Khartoum, Fela Kuti's Afrobeat and jazzy film scores from Algeria. We take a ship to Greece where we hear some beloved Bouzouki Guitar. Riding further to the western regions, we hear some Italian and French songs, before we stroll through Vienna's Burggasse and finally step through the door of @espresso_burggasse . In our journey we tanked to much Arak, Raki, Ouzo, Masticha and Pastis. So we glad to sip Natural Wines at the espresso. As always with our events: Behave approriate. Have yourself the best time of your life. Support each other, if you encounter sexist, homophobe or racist behaviour. Speak out, report to bar personal and djs. @wienpopkultour @themessagemagazine @themessage_at @vcidmonsta @mischgeschick by @vcidmonsta

✨ Shh. Listening Bar presents: Skully & Dizzy – A Journey in Vinyl ✨ Fr., 14.11. 20:00 @shh_listening_bar Wiedner Hauptstraße 18, 1040 Wien Here, you listen. Not for perfection, but for truth. For the spirit that lingers between the notes. Inspired by the secret sanctuaries of Japanese music lovers, Shh. Listening Bar is a place of deep listening. Every corner of the room speaks of Wabi-Sabi — the quiet beauty of imperfection, of wood and warmth, of hand-built sound and care. Vinyl collectors Skully & Dizzy bring their more eclectic treasures: rare grooves, global funk, and timeless sounds from across the world. Come to feel the spirit, to follow every groove, every breath, every subtle vibration in the air — a journey in vinyl, where imperfection becomes harmony. #ShhListeningBar #WabiSabi #VinylCulture #RareGrooves #GlobalFunk #DeepListening #TokyoVibes #MusicSanctuary by @vcidmonsta
"Fasan (Opas letzter Flug)" - maybe not the most popular animal/birb, but it was the favorite animal of my Grampa and the day he left his body, a male pheasant ran across the street (which is a super-rare sight where I come from) when Mom drove back from the hospital...so this is for you Opa and for my mom's wall🌞 PS: Besides Schlager, he was Fan of Sting and during research I was fascinated by how many different patterns a male pheasant rocks on his feathers. #pheasant #grampa #love #birb #birdlovers #soul #sting #thepolice #egyptianlover #art #watercolours #pencils #soap #and #skin #osk #inheaven #pixies #betterplace #theresanewstarinthesky #rip #hero #rolemodel by @vcidmonsta

Our Special Guest Franco from Italy was love at first Groove❤️ We met at last year's Discos Alliados by the lovely @tropicalthundervienna Crew and it just clicked. She has the right attitude, spreads positive vibes all along and will share her vision of Italo-Rare Grooves and more with us. Madonna knew it: "Italians do it better"💋 Look out for each other and respect your fellow human beings. We don’t tolerate racism or any kind of hate. Stay inclusive and be kind. We want to have an environment where people can let go, enjoy music and life and trust each other with their wellbeing. We take this part very seriously and want everyone to feel safe. If you see something wrong, don’t hesitate to speak up. If you feel unsafe yourself you can either talk to us personally or address the bar/security staff. by @vcidmonsta
