✨ Star*Relic: Legacy of the Primordials ✨

My hopepunk sapphic sci-fi romantasy is coming! 🪐💖 (Slide 3 is a zoomed-in image of the back of Part One, & slide 4 is the synopsis for Part Two.)
⚡️
Think She-Ra’s heart, Horizon Zero Dawn’s ancient tech & clones, & KPop Demon Hunters’ singing, set in a galaxy full of strange wonders.

Inside you’ll find:

🌌 Disability and neurodivergent representation
🫂 Found family worth fighting for
🎶 Music & singing
🌈 LGBTQIA+ cast
💔 One very slow-burning, absolutely-devastating f/f romance
🎨 Illustrated throughout by me
📅 Part One: Early 2027
📅 Part Two: Late 2027
🎧 Both releasing alongside audiobooks narrated by the incredible @amber.does.audio

Finally finished a full map of Elysia, the Node (artificial planet) where most of my upcoming sapphic sci-do romantasy Star*Relic unfolds! ✨🗺️ It ate more hours than I anticipated, between all the various features I had to drawing, coloring, shading, and even some research into strait vs. channel and bay vs. gulf lol. But I loved every minute. I always adored maps in the fantasy books I grew up on, and now there’s one for my own world! 💖Funny enough, the idea only hit me while reading Legends of Lotus Island: The Guardian Test to my kids, which has a cute one of its own.

The girl who was made to save the galaxy (Veyla, right) & the girl who would absolutely make that harder (Ash, left). ⚡️✨

Happy Halloween, chooms! 🎃 Suited up as V from Cyberpunk 2077 this year, & hit Top Golf with the fam for the first time. Turns out, I’ve got some preem swing chrome installed I never knew about. ⛳

Stay nova & stay safe for the rest of the year, choombas. Here’s hoping the Midterms go smooth and nobody gets flatlined by the aftermath. 🗳️

Finally finished my final, FINAL edit of Star*Relic Part One and Part Two! 🎉 I’ll still fix anything my ARC readers catch, but this is officially nearly wrapped!

Book One of Star*Relic (my sapphic sci-fi romantasy, dual POV, slow-burn, friends-to-crushes-to-enemies-to-???) is told in 2 parts, which makes “how many pages is it?” or “what’s the word count?” interesting questions to answer! (Scroll through the images to learn!) Part One and Part Two will release separately, with Part One arriving in early 2027 and Part Two in late 2027. Both will be available on Kindle, in paperback, and as audiobooks. Together, they’ll keep you planet-hopping across this whole solar system for a good long while.

Get comfy. 💖 I hope you enjoy your stay! 🌌 💫

🟣Blurb🟣
A malfunctioning, planet-regulating artificial intelligence.

Six interconnected planets teetering on the brink of collapse.

An impending extraterrestrial invasion.

Who could possibly save an entire solar system?

Naturally, the task falls to Veyla, a newly-awakened clone of an extinct Primordial species. If she fails, AION, a holographic AI owl with a flawed mission to preserve planetary balance, will succeed in her latest pursuit: wiping out every magick user with her army of nightmare-fuel bots.

On top of that, there are interplanetary tensions and cute girls with questionable agendas to contend with. Typical teenage problems.

No pressure, right? At least she has an unreasonable amount of optimism to work with!

Armed with ancient magick (that she’s still kind of winging) and cutting-edge tech (mostly under control, give or take a few explosions) Veyla and her friends might just be the only ones capable of uniting people, planets, and the slightly-unhinged AI who was supposed to protect them in the first place. And if enthusiasm, stubborn hope, and the occasional wildly-improvised plan can save a system, then they’ve got a real shot.

The only question is: can they do it all in time?

Ash has a signature move, and Veyla is NOT complaining. ⚡🖤

Drew this while my kids and I have been sick with a cold. It’s a scene I’m planning that would take place on the utopian-like planet Elysia for Book Two of Star*Relic, my sapphic hopepunk sci-fi romantasy. 🌸✨

Grumpy/sunshine. Enemies to lovers. Wall kisses. 💫

Would you swoon if this happened to you?

I’m on my final edit of Star*Relic, Part Two (book one is told in two volumes), and I just expanded this moment in Chapter 50. Writing hopepunk warms my heart every time, and slipping into the head of Veyla, my protagonist, has been the break from reality I needed.

Life has been kind of a lot lately with an assortment of things going on, but cozy season is upon us, so I’m hoping for a stretch of tranquility. 😌

I’m roughly 30% through editing Part Two of Star*Relic before it goes off to my narrator and ARC team. It’s taking longer than anticipated, since I keep discovering new things to refine, on top of life inevitably intervening. 😆 I’m utterly enamored with it, though, and I can’t wait for others to read it! 💖

What’s better than regular Jimothy? Nothing. He’s perfect. ☺️ But cosmic Jimothy comes in at a very close second. ✨💫

I didn’t think I’d have time to join @wrenjoneswrites’ giveaway, but I made it happen! Jimothy taught us all that anything’s possible, after all.

Swipe to the last slide for her original space Jimothy. 🥰

Happy Sapphic September! 🏳️‍🌈✨

Meet Veyla and Ash: a grumpy/sunshine, enemies-to-lovers slow burn between two girls from different worlds who absolutely did not ask to fall this hard.

Swipe through for a look at the moment everything they’ve been holding back finally cracks open. ⚡️💫

The excerpts in these slides are all from Veyla’s POV, but Star*Relic is told in dual POV, so you get both girls’ deepest inner emotions.

Star*Relic: Legacy of the Primordials is my upcoming YA sapphic sci-fi romantasy with lots of disability & neurodivergent rep, plenty more LGBTQIA+ characters, animal familiars, aliens, robots, magick, and so much more! ❤️‍🔥
