Another annual get together for Sr Theresa's 70th trip around the sun!! 🎂

This time, we're back at the same place we surprised her a decade ago with balloons 🎈, a whole load of Snoopy stuff and 🎉noisy fun.

Some things don't change - familiar flavours🥘, fond friendships - and a decade gone by has also moulded this bond🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 - more intimate, heartfelt, authentic - we've matured too. 👵🏼🤭

My prayer 🙏🏼 for her (I kena arrow to do!) is that we are thankful for her 7 decades, and that the Lord will keep her well, 💪🏼 so that she will continue to walk with those who'll need her, and to keep empowering them, like she did with us over the past many years.. 🙏🏼

Blessed birthday Sr T!
You're loved ❤️🌹

Sayonara... Aunty Yukiko and Uncle Kevin! by @veronicatanlyann

This chapel houses the wax-encased mortal remains of St. Vincent de Paul. Not far away, we also attended mass at the chapel of the Miraculous Medal, where Mother Mary appeared to St. Catherine Labouré in 1830. St Catherine's intact body is also preserved beneath the altar. by @veronicatanlyann

This is Ayam Buah Keluak – an iconic Peranakan dish that made its way onto our buffet line last month. With tender chicken marinated in a deep and rich black nut paste, it is a dish that has graced the tables for generations, carrying with it the devotion of tender loving hands. We hope you enjoyed a taste of this Peranakan treasure 🤎 by @veronicatanlyann

The food we carry often says more about us than we realise.

This Mother’s Day, we spent some time with Aunty Veronica - whose story and the women around her became the starting point for this year’s collaborative menu - alongside Mdm Aishah, co-founder of JING, and her mother Noran.

What began as a conversation about recipes slowly became one about memory, motherhood, heritage, and all the little ways food carries pieces of home across generations.

A small appreciation for the women who pass down far more than just a recipe to us🤎 by @veronicatanlyann

🔥Pentecost Sunday and a birthday lunch in celebration of Sue and Aileen... 🎂🍽️

This special bond that began more than a decade ago (with a common endeavour as educators and 'axed-co') gradually became something far deeper over the years — with shared milestones in our lives -- we have become Family.💞👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💕

All ways wrapped in love❤️, joy💛, peace💙, patience💜, kindness💚, faithfulness🩵, goodness🤍... What amazing gifts to realise and be grateful for at Pentecost! 🔥

Have you discovered Pong Tauhu? A timeless classic of Peranakan cuisine, this soup is light and full of comforting flavours. Nestled within each bowl are tender meatballs, delicately blended with prawn, chicken and tofu, slowly simmered until every bite yields a juicy delight. Loved by many of you, Pong Tauhu is our seasonal broth this May – so if you have not tried it, perhaps this is your invitation 🤎 by @veronicatanlyann

Sometimes, it’s the people around us who open doors we didn’t expect.

In this story, Jack reflects on how staying connected to his old friends led him into their families, their cultures, and the lives around them.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing glimpses of Aunty Veronica, and the dishes shaped by the women who came before her.

A reminder of how much of our memories live on through the dishes we carry forward, and sometimes, through the ones that find their way to us 🤎 by @veronicatanlyann

The deepest acts of love often happen quietly – in a warm kitchen, through recipes passed down not in writing, but in memory.

This May, we pay tribute to those hands. Together with Aunty Veronica, we present a Peranakan-style menu that weaves together her story and the maternal figures closest to her heart

Here for a limited time, and made with all the love that inspired it. Your table awaits 🤎 by @veronicatanlyann

Her story carries a sentiment that feels innately recognisable – the enduring role mothers play in carrying forward what matters most. From her kitchen to ours, a limited-time seasonal menu coming to you this May 🤎 by @veronicatanlyann
