Maybe baby. For all the little possibilities.

Heaven Above. A study in dither, repetition, and modular composition. Each click creates a new variation ☁️💙

Stood in front of this for way too long.

Liz Deschenes’ black glass mirrors at Gropius Bau. Blurry from far away, sharper the closer you get.

They felt very honest in a strange way. Maybe because we never really see ourselves clearly anyway, only fragments and distortions. And I guess there’s often a gap between what’s on the inside and what others see too.

Also, why does it always feel so embarrassing when someone catches you looking in a mirror?😅🫠

A study in noise, color arrays and blur

Playing with duplicated shapes, noise-driven motion, color arrays, and blur. I love how such a simple setup can evolve into soft, organic gradients 😌

I love how moving the cursor reshapes the composition into endless line patterns.

bits of life lately 🤍 by @vhc.visuals

Another variation of the same peony 🌸

Another variation of the peony animation. Same lines, slightly different bloom 🌸

A while ago I animated this peony and turned a few frames into postcard prints using Riso 🌸

Generated from a single line, duplicated radially into a rose structure and animated with subtle rotational oscillation.

Yesterday, 30 years ago, my mom passed away.

30 years.
It feels so far away and strangely close at the same time.

It’s strange to miss a person who mostly lives in other people’s memories.
To know her through their stories that aren’t my own.
Through old photographs.
Through the way someone says, “You look so much like her.”

I don’t have many memories of my own.
And that might be the hardest part.
Sometimes I grieve that as much as her absence.

I think part of me is grieving not only her, but everything we never had.
The conversations that never happened.
The version of my life that simply doesn’t exist.
There is a quiet sadness in that, a soft ache that never fully leaves.

The only photos of her I have in my home are from when she was younger.
I think I choose to keep them close because I can see myself in them more easily.
It feels quietly comforting, a sense of closeness I can hold onto.

30 years later, I still wonder about you.
Who you were.
Who I would have been.
Who we might have been together.
