A flexible branding system for Zamalek’s Om Kolthoom Hotel that balances cultural heritage with contemporary expression. The identity combines variable Arabic lettering with lyric-inspired illustrations, creating a flexible visual language capable of evolving across applications while remaining rooted in the legacy of Om Kolthoom. by @visioncove
Gender, Almost Comfortable is an experimental visual communication project that explores gender expression in Egypt through fashion design, art direction, and editorial design. The project views gender as unfinished and constantly shaped by shifting social expectations, cultural traditions, and personal identity. Using fashion as a form of social commentary, the project frames gender expression as something that cannot be defined and must be experienced. It examines the tension, discomfort, contradiction, and ambiguity that can exist within gender expression in contemporary Egyptian society. THE LAB: First Experiment @thelabbybrassbell It all started from the desire to bring people into a space that feels warm, open, and creatively alive. An experimental space built around community, expression, and trying things without needing a final outcome. THE LAB was created to celebrate community, diversity, and experimentation across art, food, music, and new mediums. The first edition explored art as play: canvas + mirror painting, tufting, sketching. Conceptualized by @faridahosamy_ and I. Branding and graphic design by me. Operations and planning by @faridahosamy_ brought the vision to life. Video: shot by me and edited by @sarasheriiff_ by @visioncove

TAYF is the manifestation of “Fractured Fibers,” a study on the fluidity of Egyptian cultural identity through fashion design, image-making, branding, and editorial design. Through image treatment and distortion, TAYF exudes motion and the temporal nature of the Egyptian body with abstract, semi-abstract, and figurative forms. Each collection spotlights a different Egyptian subcultural niche. TAYF’s first collection, STONE SAINTS, draws inspiration from Coptic architecture by using silhouettes and fabric manipulation to mimic structural forms. The brand represents the exploration of Egyptian multiplicity through a flexible visual system. It believes that there is no one distinct Egyptian identity. TAYF does not believe in nostalgia, but in innovation and continuity. *Fashion design, graphic design, image-making & distortion, video footage and editing, creative and art direction and photography by me* model: @shhahdmuhamed co-photographer: @youssefeldemerdashh #digitalarchive by @visioncove
A deeper delve into Maximalist Mayhem #digitalarchive by @visioncove
Designed to challenge the negative stereotypes surrounding maximalist fashion, Maximalist Mayhem is a zine series close to my heart. Never Enough—a typographic zine— explores the history, evolution, and iconic designers of the style. Excess Express examines how maximalism can thrive in ready-to-wear fashion, while On Crack blurs the line between fashion and art—turning people into living installations. Maximalist Mayhem includes additional touchpoints—designed to further the readers’ engagement in the topic and invite them deeper into this bold world. The collection employs visual repetition and fragmented typography to capture the maximalist essence and ethos of the subject. #digitalarchive by @visioncove
