Cello pushed past its breaking point. Brooklyn-based cellist, composer and sound artist Leila Bordreuil works where noise, improvisation, contemporary composition and drone begin to bleed into each other — using extended techniques and extreme amplification to turn the cello into an entire acoustic environment. Her collaborative orbit is just as expansive: Laurel Halo, Kali Malone, Drew McDowall (Coil), Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), Thurston Moore and many more. Opening the night is Malmö-based Mimosa Baker x nrl, moving through drones, distortion and vocal loops. Baker is also a prolific collaborator, including as vocalist and synth player in post-psych outfit Den Der Hale. Two practices drawn toward resonance, friction and the strange emotional life of sound. Thu 1 Oct — Leila Bordreuil (US) + Mimosa Baker x nrl 20:00–23:00 / on stage 20:30 180/230:- by @visionveil

2/3/13-21/9/25 Mishka Mala 🥀 And so, you depart the body and submerge your soul into the river of Lethe. No matter what form you shall take - it shall be sanctified. As you disenthrall and dissolve into where it all began, all shall reform yet no essence shall be lost. The softest hymns shall forever echo through the endlessness you were born from and shall now return to. You being of light. My companion, my soul, my saviour. You have stood by my side through all my states, witnessed me in all my woes. The trust we built rendered a pathway to love that I could not have dreamt of. You embodied it in all that you were and I shall carry it with me until I disrobe my mind from the divisions of dreams, death and the divine dross that concludes this life. I love you, I love you, I love you. by @visionveil
