VITRINE - Sous Influence
—
Are we truly the authors of who we become?
The exhibition questions the way gazes, images and structures around us shape our behaviours, our beliefs and our relationship to ourselves.

Ten emerging artists take over a 1,000 m² townhouse on Avenue Louise.

Chaos as fertile ground.
Before a new equilibrium can emerge, every system must pass through a phase of disorder.

Through his installation for VITRINE, Antoine Grenez explores the zones of friction between human activity and the living world’s capacity for adaptation.
Within cracks, interstices, and shifting spaces, forms appear that may seem fragile, yet carry an intrinsic power.

Here, the living is understood as a sacred force, embedded in its cycles, textures, and metamorphoses.
Not as decoration, but as an active presence, capable of recomposing reality from what has been altered.

A work that opens a liminal space between collapse and renewal.

The living reveals itself here as a silent and persistent presence.

Rooted in observation, gathering and slowness, Emmanuelle Naux’s practice unfolds through a deeply sensitive relationship to the vegetal, mineral and mechanical worlds. Rather than representing nature, she seeks to enter into dialogue with it.

Each work emerges through a patient exchange between gesture and matter, where contemplation becomes a way of listening and of inhabiting the world differently.

For Francesco Battistello, painting becomes a space of stratification, memory and reactivation.

His works emerge through a tension between immediacy and construction, between instinctive gesture and slower processes of layering, erasure and recomposition. The pictorial surface becomes an archaeological ground where images appear, disappear and resurface.

Born in Italy in 1994, Francesco lives and works in Brussels. Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and later at La Cambre, he has also developed his practice through a residency at Fondation Moonens. He was awarded the Nocivelli Prize in 2020 and was nominated for the Prix des Amis de La Cambre in 2022.
