The system isn't broken because people don't care. It's broken because paper was the only option.
We walked into cafes across Warsaw and found the same thing everywhere. Binders. Clipboards. Handwritten expiry logs next to the espresso machine. Area managers collect them monthly. Nobody reads them.
VivaShelf replaces the paper. Not the habit.

One coffee spill and that data is gone forever.

We have been reaching out directly to restaurants owners, cafe owners and friends who are involved in the realms of gastronomy with a few questions like: How do you track the fast approaching expiry date of the cheese in the fridge or the cake, which was delivered 2 days back? Is there a proactive alert system? Is there any inventory waste/loss analytics?

The issue remains the same:
Paper. Clipboards. Binders. Handwritten logs for deliveries, expiry dates, temperatures, waste. No proactive alerts, no analytics, rather - a game of memory.

Since March, me and my co-founder Vinícius built VivaShelf (https://vivashelf.com/) - a tool that replaces the paper, not the habit and enables proactive alerts and analytics.

VivaShelf works differently. Morning delivery log. Evening waste log. That's it. The same two touchpoints that already exist on paper - just digital, recoverable, and analytically sound for further steps like trend and predictions.

In this video we break down the problem, show the product, and ask for something specific: help.

We're two engineers. We've done the field research, built the MVP, hardened the security, and validated the workflow. What we need now is people who know the food industry better than we do - operators, advisors, early adopters, anyone who's lived this problem.

If that's you, or you know someone, drop a comment or DM me.

And if you run a bakery, juice bar, or cafe still tracking expiry dates on paper - VivaShelf [https://vivashelf.com/].
