🕊️🤍
After a week and a half of fighting and many hospital visits, we had to make the incredibly hard decision to let Zeus go and cross the rainbow bridge.

Over the past nine years, Zeus was there through it all — from when I was single, to in a relationship, to engaged, and then married. From student to graduate, unemployed to employed. He acted as our little therapist during countless crash-out sessions with friends, taking turns curling up on everyone’s lap. He started as my family dog, then became “ours” when AJ and I moved out & stole him— and eventually decided AJ was his favorite, completely ditching me in the process.

I’m so grateful to have shared some of the most meaningful years of my life with him.

Zeus passed away on October 27, doing one of his favorite things — lying in the grass during golden hour, soaking up the sun. by @vekasvanity
