I wrote this on Election Day without the looming day in mind at all. 2024 was long and hard, filled with too much loss and some really difficult, emotional cases. I was really looking forward to 2025, been talking about it a lot actually, not having any idea that not only 2025, but the next few years, would be bringing even more difficulty. With all of that in mind, this poem feels appropriate for all of the above. We always have to look towards brightness, for with it is hope, faith, and belief. And we need all those things as we move forward and continue to fight for a better tomorrow. by @vmfpoetry
