About VossMoves.

Claire was born in France and has been dancing since the age of 4 years old. At 14, she left home to study to become a professional Ballerina and got to learn from renowned teachers at the "Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris", and later at the "Pôle National de Danse Rosella Hightower".

At 18, she moved to London to join "Ballet Central". While she was touring around the United Kingdom, she also graduated with a "Bachelors Arts with first class honours in Dance".

From there, her career as a professional Ballerina took off and from 2006 until 2022, she had the pleasure to be a "Demi-Soloist" with "Dortmund Ballet" (Germany), "Zurich Ballet" (Switzerland), Finnish National Ballet (Finland) and "West Australian Ballet" (Australia).

During these years, she had the chance to perform work by world renowned choreographer such as William Forsyth, George Balanchine, Marius Petipa, and to interpret principal roles such as the "Sugar Plum Fairy" in "The Nutcracker".

During these years, she also got the opportunity to choreograph few works on the dancers of "West Australian Ballet" , as well as for some private events and commercials.

Injuries being part of the daily life of a high level athlete, she got introduced to the Pilates Method at an early stage and experienced the many benefits of it, such as to be healthier, stronger and injury free. In 2022, she finished her two years studies in Pilates Movement Therapy with a Diploma in hands through the Australian Pilates Method Association.

Movement is the way Claire express herself and she is very passionate about sharing her knowledge with people.

In 2022, she decided to create VossMoves to help individuals to feel more confident with their bodies, as well as mastering it.

Finding these old memories from 10 years ago I realised few things:
1. How I wish I was less critical with myself and look at videos of me dancing with a positive critical eye instead of destroying myself for not being good enough or not the right shape for ballet etc…. I would have probably enjoyed the journey way more.

2. How much did cameras on phone involved in 10 years 😂

We're delighted to welcome director Dawn Jackson and French-born dancer-choreographer Claire Voss, who knows the story intimately, for an engaging Q&A following the screening, then unwind with a relaxed cocktail among fellow guests. 🥂

"Murmurs from the Past"

Created for the AD Ballet students of @dancewaapa , the work is a reflection on memory, place and the unseen traces of human existence. Inspired by the idea that matter may retain echoes from the past, the piece asks what stories live within ancient walls, what conversations once filled forgotten rooms, and what silent exchanges existed between artists and their subjects.

Rise season is on until 18.06.26
