These days I feel like I’ve the least amount of energy I’ve ever had for “maintaining an online presence,” but I do want to share things I’m proud of, particularly when I get to work on a project with multiple people. Creativity flows where others’ hearts are involved.

Karla killed it during this shoot, despite insisting that she isn’t very comfortable in front of the camera — and having two cameras in front of her at the same time. Speaking of, @scotti_moody_media continues to impress me so much by how skilled she is, and by how kind and humble she is. To see other people pursuing growth in their craft with such dedication and gusto is so inspiring to me. And of course, building a photoshoot around a product as beautifully made as those Clara has created for @voyagerhats is always a pleasure. What a privilege to work with such talented and lovely human beings. by @voyagerhats

Just popping in to post a few photos from Voyager's little opening day hangout. Proud to be an owner (and everyday wearer) of this beautiful hat, made skillfully and with care by human hands. Check out Clara's shop in Downtown Rogers when you're in the area! by @voyagerhats

Somewhere in time— something a little different for your feed.

Here are a few more photos from our shoot on the train. It is quite likely that this corridor was actually my favourite spot of all the cars. Also, I'll probably be sharing a good handful of images from this set in the coming days and weeks, so, I hope you don't get too tired of them. 🌞 by @voyagerhats

I’ve realized that all too often, I try to make things happen on my own. I try to make use only of my own skills, my own time, my own vision — and miss out on the chance to create something with other wonderful human beings. There is strength and beauty in those around us, and it is such a privilege to be able to play a part in something larger than ourselves.

This project was the result of multiple talented people coming together, to create something none of us could have made on our own. I had an idea months ago, and Emma Corr, strong woman that she is, challenged me to act on it. Averi Bravenec, with the mind of a true stylist and the closet to go along with it, put together multiple outfits for us to shoot with, and Clara Covey created four beautiful, handmade hats to go along with them. Dune and Mary Katherine couldn’t have been better models for this project, as they often look like they’ve stepped out of a different era anyway, and have no problem being themselves in front of a camera — or two. And of course, a huge thank you goes to Brenda and Caleb at the railroad for being so generous with us, as this could not have happened without their cooperation.

Thank you all for your contributions of creativity, time and energy, and your patience as this project came to fruition. It was such a pleasure to work with you, and make something beautiful with you.
