🏔️ 4 mountains. 4 continents. 4 incredible stories.
Some of the world's most famous peaks have stories worth knowing.
🏔️ Mount Everest, 8,848.86 m | Asia
The highest mountain above sea level. Its summit is so high that climbers enter the “death zone”, where the human body cannot properly acclimatize.
🏔️ Aconcagua, 6,961 m | South America
The highest mountain outside Asia. Despite its altitude, the normal route requires no technical climbing in typical conditions. The extreme cold and thin air are another story.
🏔️ Denali, 6,190 m | North America
One of the toughest high-altitude climbs. Its enormous vertical rise, Arctic conditions and brutal storms make it a serious challenge even for experienced mountaineers.
🏔️ Kilimanjaro, 5,895 m | Africa
The world's highest free-standing mountain. You can trek to its summit without technical climbing, passing through landscapes ranging from rainforest to alpine desert.
Which one would you love to see in person? 🌍

Začenjaš s pohodništvom? Začni z osnovami.
Izberi pot, ki ustreza tvoji kondiciji. Preveri napoved. Obuj primerne čevlje. S seboj imej vodo, hrano in dodaten sloj oblačil.
Počakale bodo, ko boš pripravljen-a na naslednjo.

🇬🇧 New to hiking? Start with the basics. Choose a trail that matches your fitness. Check the forecast. Wear proper shoes. Carry water, food and an extra layer. Give yourself more daylight than you think you'll need. And never be embarrassed to turn around. You don't have to prove anything to the mountains. They'll be waiting when you're ready for the next one.

Point your phone at the mountains and see exactly what you're looking at. Triglav, Škrlatica, Razor, with height and distance to every peak.

This is Panorama, one of the features I'm building into VRH267, a mountain safety and hiking app. Still in progress, coming soon.

Which peak would you point it at first?

🇬🇧 Forget ghosts, haunted houses and things that go bump in the night. Fog rolling in when you're off route. A dying phone battery. A storm you didn't see coming. Realising nobody knows where you are. Those are the mountain horror stories worth taking seriously. A little preparation is far less frightening than finding out what happens without it. Happy Halloween from VRH267. 🎃🏔️

🇬🇧 Building a mountain app involves a surprising amount of time nowhere near a mountain. Maps, satellite imagery, route data, safety systems, testing and countless tiny details that most people will never notice. And then there's the occasional moment when one small change breaks three other things. 😄 But every improvement has a purpose: making VRH267 something hikers can genuinely rely on. Still building. Still testing. Still raising the bar.

Ena skupna stvar.
Ljubezen do gora in razlog, da se varno vrneš domov.

🇬🇧 VRH267 isn't being built only for experienced mountaineers. It's for the person planning their first proper hike. The weekend explorer. The solo hiker. The family heading into the hills. And the climber who has already lost count of summits. Different experiences. Different goals. One thing in common. A love for the mountains and a reason to come home safely.

Every safe hike starts at home.

Headlamp, warm layer, microspikes, first aid kit, power bank and a fully charged phone. Pack for the mountain you're climbing, not the weather in the valley.

VRH267 helps you plan the whole tour: check conditions, choose your route, know what to pack and keep your family in the loop while you're out there.

Plan your hike. Return safely.

Coming soon to Google Play.

When did you last allow yourself to simply enjoy it? 🌊

That moment on the edge, heart racing, mind full of excuses. And then you jump anyway.

We had the best day out there! 💚

Now a little question for you: we're building VRH267 for hikers, and we're dreaming about VRH Safety Travel for rivers, canyons and adventure trips abroad.

Would you use it? Tell us in the comments 👇

Veliko govorimo o osvajanju vrhov.

🇬🇧 We talk a lot about reaching summits. Not nearly enough about the people waiting for us at home. The message that says you've reached the top. The update that says you're heading down. The relief of knowing someone's OK. One of the things that matters most to me about VRH267 is helping hikers stay connected with the people who care about them. Because every adventure has someone waiting for the story.

🇬🇧 One of the biggest misconceptions about hiking? That a marked trail is automatically a safe trail. Trail markings won't stop a thunderstorm, prevent loose rocks or tell you when you're too exhausted to continue. Even popular, well-marked routes can become dangerous when conditions change. Follow the signs, but pay attention to everything happening around them.

Is there snow at the top? It is the question we hear every week.

Conditions change fast with altitude. On the same day the summit can be deep in wind and fresh snow, while the valley two hours below is still warm enough for short sleeves.

That is why we check by elevation before every climb.

Weather, snow, huts and routes in one place. Plan your next summit with VRH267. by @vrh267app
