Waddell is an organisation that creates and services commercial partnerships between Business’s and Charitable causes. Led by former Olympic champion Rob Waddell, our team works across the sector including Charities, Schools, and Sports helping them with the commercial rights (sponsorship and broadcast) to grow their financial sustainability and ultimately enhance the great work they can do in their communities.

Through the partnerships we form, our sponsors enjoy making a significant social impact as well as benefitting from a wide range of marketing benefits and opportunities which we support on their behalf.

We have a strong record of delivering results. Over the last ten years, Waddell has created and renewed some of the biggest (and smallest!) partnerships over an extensive number of organisations in New Zealand. by @waddell.nz

What a special way to say thank you!
We were lucky enough to receive this incredible haka from the boys at Hastings Boys’ High School in celebration of Apollo’s 25th anniversary, and what an awesome gesture it was.

Through our partnership with @waddell.nz, we’re proud to play a small part in helping more young Kiwis get involved in sport, removing financial barriers and giving them opportunities they might not otherwise have.

Seeing the pride, passion and spirit these boys bring is a great reminder of why supporting our communities means so much to us.

A massive thank you to the boys, staff and everyone involved in making this happen. Ngā mihi nui from all of us at Apollo. You’ve certainly made our week. ❤️❤️❤️ by @waddell.nz

A huge thank you to @apolloprojectsnz for your ongoing sponsorship and support! Your generosity helps create amazing opportunities for our students to get involved in sport, challenge themselves, and achieve their goals. We’re incredibly grateful for your partnership and the positive impact you continue to make for our students! 💙 by @waddell.nz

What does it mean to be Altogether Better?

It’s about working together towards a common goal, bringing out the best in one another and going above and beyond as a team. It’s the people who stand alongside us, the communities we’re part of and the collective effort that makes a real difference. Because when we work together, we can achieve more than we ever could alone.

Through our support of the NZ Sport Collective, we’re proud to celebrate these qualities by presenting an Altogether Better Award at each event and tournament, recognising rangatahi who embody the spirit of their sport and inspire those around them.

The 2026 NZSS Basketball Nationals were recently held at CET Arena in Palmerston North, where we were proud to present the Altogether Better Award to Māruawai College for their outstanding commitment and determination.

As the only Southland/Otago boys’ team to qualify for Nationals, the team earned their place through a year of hard work, including early-morning training sessions and fundraising for the long journey from Gore to Palmerston North. Their dedication, pride in representing their school and whānau, and determination to build on last year’s performance made them thoroughly deserving recipients.

We’re proud to support initiatives that help more rangatahi participate in sport, build confidence, develop life skills and experience the benefits of being part of a team.

Because being Altogether Better is about more than what we achieve individually. It’s about backing one another, celebrating effort and creating opportunities for the next generation to thrive.
