Hi Bugs, It was a year ago today when Jesus took you home, and I still listen for your tippy taps around the house. I can still feel your brown eyes watching and waiting for me to drop something as I cook. I still feel the void next to my feet on the couch. You are very loved, puppy, and dearly missed. When I think of you, it’s always memories of how you filled this special place in our family. You were always so happy, a little mischievous, quite spirited, and too smart for your own good. You loved everyone—especially Ryder. Somehow knowing he was different, you were always so patient with him. As needy as you were, we needed you, too. You made walks, working at home, and random car trips all the more fun. I couldn’t have asked for a better childhood dog. There is no more perfect dog for our family. We brought you into our home, and you gave us a love that will remain with us forever. You were the very best dog, and I know Jesus is taking great care of you as you get to play with all the other doggies in heaven to your heart’s content. My bugaboo, my bubs and bubby, my little muffin, my perrito, my little boy and little one, my honey bear, my Ollie bear, my Oliver; there will always be a place in my heart where you belong. I’ll always love you, and I’ll see you when it’s my turn to head home. Say “hi” to Jesus for me, pups. 💙 by @wafflesandsocks

Hi, my name is Jillian Ciszewski, and I’m always on an adventure 🥳 by @wafflesandsocks
Something very exciting happened October 19th...  We put on our first Movies at Detroit Mercy event, and it was a GREAT success!     Movies at Detroit Mercy had everything to do with bringing the surrounding community and the campus together. Everyone who came got to fill up with tacos and popcorn to watch Inside Out 2 together. There were smiles and good energy everywhere!    Movies at Detroit Mercy (MADM) taught me two things. The first is to trust my team. I was blessed to have a group of self-driven and talented individuals, and nothing would have happened without them. As a student team, we built putt-putt holes, furniture, coloring cubes, beanbags, etc. I only had to trust in the team that was given to me. Truly, these architecture students have inspired me most of all.   Additionally, Taqee Vernon from Live6 Alliance and Dan Pitera from SACD played a ginormous role in making this happen. Every pair of hands that touched this project has been so incredibly valued.     The second thing MADM taught me is that if you give up while you’re ahead, you’ll never know what it could have been. This was my first time leading a design-build team project, and I learned a lot about the pressures, failures, and obstacles of starting something new. There were so many times where it felt like it was all futile, but I now am excitedly planning what next year looks like. Now that we know what we are doing, it’s only up from here! 🥳 by @wafflesandsocks
