What is wake the wild all about? It’s more than classes. It’s a community. It’s learning that happens on the water, on the trails, and in the wild… where students don’t just study the world, they experience it. It’s a place where families can learn and explore together. It’s teaching kids to be confident, curious, and connected to the world around them. #LearningInNature #HandsOnLearning #NatureSchool #adventureeducation #homeschool by @wakethewildfl
Beyond a classroom. Into the wild. This week, our Science by the Sea students explored the incredible world of birds at Lovers Key State Park! From unique adaptations and feeding habits to the important roles birds play in our coastal ecosystems, our young scientists discovered how these animals survive and thrive in Southwest Florida. The best part? Learning about wildlife while surrounded by the very habitats these animals call home. Because some of the best lessons happen beyond four walls. #WakeTheWild #homeschool #outdooreducation #handsonlearning #birds by @wakethewildfl
What does a BMX class with Wake The Wild look like? A little science, a lot of riding, and so much learning along the way! Each week, our Science in Motion: BMX students explore the STEM behind the sport, receive hands-on coaching, and put their new skills to work on the track. But just as important as the skills they’re developing is the culture we’re building. One where students encourage each other, celebrate progress, build friendships, and gain confidence with every lap. This is what learning in motion looks like! #WakeTheWild #homeschool #BMX #HomeschoolEnrichment #swfl by @wakethewildfl
Climbing tips from Coach Min! Our Vertical Science students are learning that becoming a confident climber starts with understanding proper technique and safety. Today’s lesson: practicing safe landings while bouldering with guidance from our climbing coach. Building skills, confidence, and safety awareness one climb at a time! #WakeTheWild #rockclimb #RockClimbing #homeschool #Bouldering by @wakethewildfl
Confidence is built by doing. Every new feature, every attempt, every time they get back up and try again. Our Wake Lab students are learning that growth happens when you step outside your comfort zone. It’s bigger than wakeboarding. We’re building confidence, resilience, and life skills that go far beyond the water. This is what learning through experience looks like. This is homeschool enrichment. This is Wake The Wild! #WakeTheWild #homeschool #wakeboarding #wakeboard #swfl by @wakethewildfl
Who says science class needs four walls? Our newest Wake The Wild homeschool enrichment class has officially kicked off at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary! For the next 8 weeks, our students will explore one of Southwest Florida’s most incredible ecosystems, studying wildlife, investigating habitats, collecting real scientific data, and learning about conservation alongside the experts who protect this amazing place. There’s something pretty special about learning science in the very ecosystem you’re studying. This is what hands-on homeschool enrichment looks like in Southwest Florida! #WakeTheWild #CorkscrewSwampSanctuary #florida #conservation #OutdoorEducation by @wakethewildfl
Welcome to our art studio! Our Art by the Sea students are continuing to bring their underwater creations to life, one clay project at a time! And peep all the parents getting creative right alongside their kids! We love that our classes create opportunities for families to learn, explore, and experience new things together. Because sometimes the best part of homeschool enrichment is getting to be part of the experience, too. #WakeTheWild #homeschool #art #florida #handsonlearning by @wakethewildfl
Monday through Thursday, but make it Wake The Wild. From the swamp to the climbing walls, BMX tracks, cable park, and coastlines, our homeschoolers are learning, exploring, and building confidence one adventure at a time. This is what homeschool enrichment looks like at Wake The Wild! #homeschool #homeschoollife #floridahomeschool #swfl #wakethewild by @wakethewildfl
Nothing like starting the week with a little sunshine, surf, and a whole lot of stoke at School of Wake! ☀️ #wakethewild #homeschool #florida #outdooreducation #wakesurf by @wakethewildfl
This is what hands-on conservation education looks like! 🐢 Our Science by the Sea students traded textbooks for the beaches of Lovers Key State Park, stepping into the role of sea turtle conservation rangers! With Ranger Mitch leading the way, students excavated a simulated sea turtle nest, examined and categorized the “eggs,” collected data, and learned about the incredible work that goes into protecting sea turtles along Florida’s coast. And just to clarify, this was a MOCK nest 😉 No real sea turtle eggs or nests were disturbed, and every hole was filled back in before we left the beach. Through our partnership with Surf Skate Science and Florida State Parks, and our connection to the Guy Harvey conservation education community, we’re helping raise the next generation of ocean advocates. Because conservation starts with understanding, and there’s no better way to learn than getting out there and experiencing it firsthand! 💙 Adventure • Education • Conservation 🤙🏼 #wakethewild #florida #conservation #homeschool #seaturtles by @wakethewildfl
