Flew in from Alaska, @steezo_steveo grabbed me straight from the airport, and we spent two days in the desert while he and the boys threw themselves off everything in sight. Tower exit at first light. I was the guy on the rim holding the camera going "there's no way this is safe." 🏜️πŸͺ‚ #moab #basejump #skydive #utah #sendit by @walkermackey
An M01 seal rebuild on the Safran Arriel 2D sounds small, but getting to it meant removing the entire engine, pulling the freewheel unit, and disconnecting the tail rotor drive shaft. Everything comes out before you can touch one seal. Hours of careful, detailed work, torque specs, and serious mechanic knowledge. Huge respect to the people who keep these machines flying. As a pilot, getting this close to the guts of the aircraft makes you trust it a whole lot more. Back in the air soon ✈️🚁 #H130 #EC130 #Airbus #Helicopters #Safran Arriel2D by @walkermackey

Solo overnight at the Mint Hut. πŸ”οΈ Hiked in through the fall colors, scrambled up the boulder field, ate dinner alone in the hut, and woke up to the first dusting of snow. Summer's officially over up here. No service meant no distractions. I got to actually think about this Alaska season: the flying, the people I've met, and how much warmth I've felt along the way. It also gave me some clarity on where I want to take things next, with the helicopters and with this page. The season changing has me a little emotional. But mostly I'm grateful, and excited for what's next. πŸšπŸ‚ #alaska #hatcherpass #minthut #solobackpacking #hikealaska by @walkermackey

#TBT to one of the calmest mornings I’ve ever flown. Hot air balloon, SoCal sunrise, four backflips. Still one of my favorite exits. Which would you rather ride up in, a balloon or a helicopter? πŸ‘‡#hotairballoon #skydiving #balloonjump #sunrise southerncalifornia freefall backflip skydive adventure flightlife throwbackthursday by @walkermackey
