Beautiful @phillipjeffries Soho ll Hemp woven Wallcovering installed in a lovely Dining Room. Before I get into this Wallcovering, have to say that I love how the light fixture streams light into the room! It's Mesmerizing! Let's get into the Hemp: I found installing the Hemp works best by reversing the panels in order to get the best shading. As this Wallcovering is hand-dyed it is always going to be slightly different from panel to panel. I was able to install the panels directly out of the roll as the seam edges were trimmed well. This eliminated double-cutting on the wall. I did notice a few rolls were slightly coarse, while the majority were smooth, yet all installed well. Looking at these photos I really feel the client's choice (with the help of Claude!), of the Hemp in the Dining Room provided lovely highlights, texture and dimension. #wallpaper #grassclothwallpaper #wallpaperdecor #wallpaperdefinesthespace #interiordesign by @wallpaperguru
This wallpaper design from @spoonflower encompasses my favorite color palette: Blue and Green! 💚🩵💙 With Spoonflower, each wallpaper they carry originates from an independent artist who submits their designs to the Company . This Design is called Wallpaper Hops Botanical - Watercolot Garden Vine ARTIST: Kikiart I installed this wallpaper in a very small Powder Room and after, the room felt so much larger! Always love when mirrors reflect the wallpaper. 👍 The walls did have an Orange Peel Texture and luckily the homeowner borrowed an electric sander to remove enough texture for me to install the wallpaper. I always recommend Spoonflower's pre-pasted substrate as it is thin and flexible and will accomodate a very slight texture, but not heavy Orange Peel. I don't recommend the Spoonflower heavy duty substrate at all, nor their Peel & Stick. Wrapping the soffit over the sink was the icing on the cake, it's definitely a must and completes the look of the powder room. #wallpaper #wallpaperdecor #interiordesign #wallpaperdefinesthespace #powderroomdesign by @wallpaperguru
A beautiful @houseofhackney wallpaper for an equally beautiful home and family, and that includes their wonderful dog, Twix! I always love a dramatic surprise in a Powder Room and love the authentic Decorative Art designs of House of Hackney. #wallpaper #wallcoverings #wallpaperdecor #decorativeart #powderroomdecor by @wallpaperguru

I love powder rooms with a Wallpaper surprise! Here is pattern Phantasia from @houseofhackney. Printed on a non woven substrate, this is applied with a " paste-the-wall" method then applying the wallpaper panels dry to the wall. House of Hackney has some of the best, creative wallpaper patterns on the planet! #wallpaper #wallpaperdecor #interiordesign #wallpaperdefinesthespace #interiordecorating by @wallpaperguru

I thoroughly enjoyed installing Indian Flower by @jaspershowroom This is a custom hand-screened wallpaper with selvedge edges. I install by trimming most of the selvedge off first on my wallpaper table. Then I take the panels and overlap the remaining selvedge on top of the prior installed panel. Matching the selvedge perfectly onto the previous panel then hand-trimming them down the seam edge, and removing the selvedges. This produces an invisible and flawless seam edge. I'm grateful Jasper prints on a wonderful paper substrate too! I thoroughly enjoyed having the client's cat on site who provided a few added install suggestions which were spot on! Completed install of Moon Garden by @houseofhackney My client of many years fell in love with this wallpaper he saw in his hotel in London. He had to have it, he loved the Eyes 👁️ in the design. 9 years ago I installed a William Morris wallpaper ( see last photo) , which in all honesty regarding the original 1940's green tile, I prefer in this Powder Room. I always suggest ordering samples too. My client did not order a sample. He did remark about the green tile after the wallpaper was installed. He doesn't work with an Interior Designer. He, I both love the House of Hackney wallpaper. Buy I know him well, and I will say I won't be surprised if he sometime down the road changes it because of the green tile. Let me know your thoughts! Does the 1940's green tile clash with the new Wallpaper coloring? #wallpaper #wallpaperdecor #interiordesign #wallpaperpattern by @wallpaperguru
Total perfection by @elizabethlawdesign for choosing the perfect wallpaper, Wood Block Blooms, by @york_wallcoverings for this charming Powder Room. I 100% recommend York Wallcoverings as they produce an amazing wallpaper! Founded in 1895, York Wallpaper is the oldest Wallpaper company in the United States. They have continued to make an excellent quality product! I was so pleased when the homeowners came into the room and were just so Happy! #wallpaper #floraldesign #inieriordesign #wallpaperdefinesthespace by @wallpaperguru
Yesterday I posted a photo on my Story of a Raffia Wallcovering I looked at for a project in Los Angeles, Calif. It's hand-applied / tied Raffia Pom Pom's on the face of the Raffia, makes it so unique! Because so many people commented that they loved it, I am posting who makes it and pricing. CMO Paris make this Raphia Rosace. You can peruse their website. All info is in the 3rd photo. While I was excited to work with this wallcovering along with the 5 other Wallcoverings in the home, which included Kravet, Elitis, I had to unfortunately turn the project down. While the homeowner had Contractor skim coat all rooms for Wallcovering due to heavy Orange Peel wall texture, she did not have the Primary Bedroom skim coated for this beautiful Raphia Rosace. She had been told ( not by Contractor who I know and referred me), that she didn't need to skim coat the Primary Bedroom, I assume the premise being the texture would hide the Orange Peel walls. Hiding it is the LEAST of my Worries! it's getting this wallcovering to lay Flat onto the textured walls that is the issue! It's imperative for the seams alone! This Woven Weave Wallcovering is already delicate & I cannot guarantee the adhering of it 100% on a textured wall. If I have to repeatedly push it down over the highs and lows of the wall texture, i could risk disfiguring it. I provided the Homeowner / Designer a solution: I tested sanding an area to see if it would help, and it did! I showed the homeowner, emailed a photo to the designer, but neither appeared interested to have it done. Believe me when I say, hand sanding, removing dust from walls, and re-priming walls is a fraction of the cost of skim-coating the walls! Homeowner is not sleeping in Master, and all furnishings have been removed. #wallpaper #interiordesign #interiordesigner #consultanexpert #wallprepmatters by @wallpaperguru
